  62. and either the number of day or the other date. AmortizeIt! will
  63. instantly calculate the interest due for the period. (As an extra bonus,
  64. the day of the week for each date will also be diplayed. This way you
  65. can see if a due date or number of days from a date falls on a business
  66. day.)

  68. LOAN CALCULATOR will solve for any unknown. That is, you provide any
  69. three of the following, RATE, TERM, AMOUNT, PAYMENT and AmortizeIt! will
  70. solve for the unknown. You also specify compounding and payment periods,
  71. and if payment is in advance or arrears.

  73. REMAINING BALANCE, as it says, will calculate the remaining balance of a
  74. loan.

  76. ACCELERATED PAYMENT is a very fast and easy routine to use to show how
  77. much  interest you will save on a loan if you make extra REGULAR
  78. payments. You will be able to say how much extra you want to have
  79. applied toward the principal starting after whatever payment  period
  80. number.

  82. If you want to make IRREGULAR payments or you want to vary the amount of
  83. each payment, use the Amortization Routine to key in the extra payments.
  84. Then use the summary feature to show what you will save in interest.

  86. BALLOON PAYMENT is different from the way it was done in earlier
  87. versions of the program. You now tell the program how much of a balloon
  88. you want to pay or collect after which payment number, and  AmortizeIt!
  89. will calculate what the payment should be in order to have the balloon
  90. amount that you desire.

  92. The balloon is actually the remaining balance of the loan at a
  93. particular point. What this routine will now do, is to allow you to
  94. structure a loan for a amount that needs to be paid off in a relatively
  95. short period of time, but at a payment amount that would be less than
  96. required to amortize the entire loan in the short time span. By allowing
  97. the user to set the balloon amount, you can control the rate at which
  98. the principal is paid down. Usually this will be faster than if the loan
  99. were amortized over the longer period of time.
