- │ FLIPFLOP - Alan Dickinson COLOUR MONITOR REQIURED! │
- │ ─────────────────────────────────────────────────── │
- │ │
- │ Choose whether you want to play "Black" or White. (Black is actually shown │
- │ as Blue in EGA mode). Choose manual to play against another human rather │
- │ than the computer, and choose Automatic if you want the computer to play │
- │ itself. Choose a style of opponent from Anna, Boris, Karla, or Dmitri. If │
- │ you chose Automatic then you will need to choose two opponents! │
- │ │
- │ When its your turn enter your move either by specifying coordinates or by │
- │ positioning the red cross and hitting enter. You must play in a square which │
- │ traps one or more of your opponents tiles between the one you have just │
- │ placed and one of your own already on the board, along a straight or │
- │ diagonal line. All the intervening tiles are flipped to your colour. If you │
- │ cannot make a valid move press P to pass. │
- │ │
- │ If you make an invalid move, or pass when you could play somewhere, the │
- │ computer will beep and require you to re-enter a move. The game is over when │
- │ all squares have been occupied or when both players are forced to pass. The │
- │ winner is the one with most tiles on the board. │
