  66. WinU is a Windows 95 menu system with timeout and security access
  67. features.  It is excellent for parents who want to allow children to use
  68. only certain software on the family PC, without worrying that Junior
  69. might delete the household tax records.  You can set up a different
  70. password-protected WinU desktop for each member of the family.
  71.  
  72. WinU is also ideal for computer stores that want to let the shopping
  73. public try their featured software without allowing access to the entire
  74. computer.  WinU lets you set the amount of time that shoppers (or
  75. children) can use a program.  It allows a warning "grace period,"  with
  76. acustom warning message that you can set, before it terminates a running
  77. application.  You can even tell it to run only one program at a time, so
  78. the previous application will be terminated when a new one is launched.

  80. Businesses can use WinU to allow employees to run only authorized
  81. software, and make all other programs unavailable.  WinU is far better
  82. for this purpose than the meager Windows 95 "policies" facility, because
  83. it is more powerful, more flexible, easier to set up, and simpler for
  84. end-users.

  86. Vendors and businesses will appreciate WinU's built-in file logging
  87. feature, which tracks exactly when each programs was run, by who, and
  88. for how long.

  119. You can install WinU automatically, using the enclosed auto-installer. To
  120. do this, simply run install.exe from within Windows. You can run it using
  121. Explorer or the Run item on the Start menu, or in whatever other
  122. convenient way you choose.  Give it the directory to put the WinU files
  123. into, and the Start menu group name for the WinU icons (appropriate
  124. defaults are suggested). It'll do the rest.  The installer will make no
  125. changes to your system set-up or to any systemwide files.

  127. WinU also includes an uninstaller which will completely remove all its
  128. files from your system if you desire to do so.
