This tab allows you to activate or deactivate test mode.  In test mode, the application simulates the presence of a connection without having one.  This mode allows you to explore the product's functionality without having to make or disturb a real connection.  By checking "Fail dial-ups", you can simulate what would happen if failures occurred while trying to connect.
