  1. bCAD Vista is the public-domain 3D data viewer
  2. and render. This program may be freely distributed

  6. Following 3D formats are supported:

  8. 3DS - native Autodesk 3D Studio files (import only)
  9. ASC - Autodesk 3D Studio ASCII files
  10. DXF - AutoCAD Data Exchange Format files
  11. NFF - Sense8 Neutral Format Files (import only)
  12. BDF - bCAD native files.

  14. Following raster formats are supported:

  16. Export TGA/JPEG/BMP/GIF/TIF/PCX

  18. Import TGA/JPEG/BMP/GIF/TIF/PIC/CEL
  19.  
  20. Rendering methods:

  22. Flat shading
  23. Gouraud 
  24. Phong z-buffered
  25. Ray-tracing

  27. Material settings form 3DS files are supported automatically in case
  28. of appropriate texture images presence.

  30. Command line options:

  32. bcadv [options] [filename1.[extencion]] [filename2.[extencion]] ...

  37. -v      force to run in VGA 640x480 mode
  38. -b      force to use dark background of the drawings
  39. -m      force to display monochrome vectors
  40. -cfg    force to run set-up dialogue box

  42. if there is no file extension .BDF will be used as default

  45. In case program doesn't recogninize your vide hardware try to
  46. run univesa.exe first and then bcadv.

  48. Hardware requirements:

  50. Minimum: 386,1Mb RAM, VGA, mouse, DOS 3.3 and later
  51. Recommended: 486DX, 4Mb RAM, 256 colours SVGA, mouse, DOS 5.0 and later

  53. High and TrueColour modes are supported, resolution up to 1024x1280.
