  26.  This option allows you to ADD files into
  27.  the compressed by displaying a list of
  28.  files in a window.  After the window is
  29.  displayed you tag the files to ADD by
  30.  pressing the space bar.  After all files
  31.  have been tagged press the ENTER key to
  32.  process the tagged files.
  33.  
  34. *altc  !!add/update comments!!
  35.  This option will allow you to add or
  36.  update the compressed file comments.
  37.  
  38. *altd  !!delete all extracted!!
  39.  This option will delete all files that
  40.  are contained in the compressed file
  41.  from the current DISK:\DIRECTORY,or the
  42.  one specified via the ALT-P command.
  43.  
  44. *alte  !!extract list!!
  45.  This option allow you to specify which
  46.  files to extract from the compressed
  47.  file. You may specify more the one
  48.  filespec when the prompt appears.  Wild
  49.  cards are allowed.
  50.  
  51. *altf    !!freshen-from-list!!
  52.  This option allows you to FRESHEN files
  53.  in the compressed by displaying a list
  54.  of files in a window.  After the window
  55.  is displayed you tag the files to
  56.  FRESHEN by pressing the space bar.
  57.  After all files have been tagged press
  58.  the ENTER key to process the tagged
  59.  files.

  61. *altm   !!move-from-list!!
  62.  This option allows you to MOVE files
  63.  into the compressed by displaying a list
  64.  of files in a window.  After the window
  65.  is displayed you tag the files to MOVE
  66.  by pressing the space bar.  After all
  67.  files have been tagged press the ENTER
  68.  key to process the tagged files.
  69.  
  70. *altp  !!!get_extract_path!!!
  71.  This options allows you to specify a
  72.  disk and directory of where any
  73.  extracted files will be placed.  Specify
  74.  the extract path as follows:
  75.  DISK:\DIRECTORY Pressing any key other
  76.  than the ENTER key will clear the
  77.  extract path.
  78.  
  79. *alts   !!speed_srch!!
  80.  Speed search allows you to find a file
  81.  in the compressed file quickly.  After
  82.  the window pops up enter the first
  83.  character of the file you wish to find.
  84.  The display will be repositioned to the
  85.  first file in the list that starts with
  86.  that letter. (NOTE since files are
  87.  stored in random order sort the list
  88.  first)
  89.  
  90. *altv  !!view archive comments!!
  91.  This option will display the master
  92.  comment record and the file comment
  93.  records for the selected compressed
  94.  file.

  96. *altx  !!extract all!!
  97.  This option will extract ALL files from
  98.  the compressed file into the current
  99.  DISK:\DIRECTORY or the one specified via
  100.  the ALT-P command.
  101.  
  102. *altz  !!virus check!!
  103.  This option will check ALL .COM ,.EXE, .OVL
  104.  files to see if they have been infected with
  105.  a virus.  You must have the virus checking
  106.  program from McAfee Assoc. call SCAN.EXE
  107.  version 39 or greater, and have used the
  108.  configuration program to tell SHEZ where
  109.  to find SCAN.EXE
  110.  
  111. *c  !!create-new!!
  112.  This will allow you to create a NEW
  113.  compressed file.  You will be prompted
  114.  to enter the
  115.  DISK:\DIRECTORY\FILENAME.EXT of the
  116.  compressed file to create, whether you
  117.  want to add or move files into the new
  118.  compressed file, and the DISK:\DIRECTORY
  119.  of the files to add and/or move to the
  120.  new compressed file.
  121.  YOU MUST SUPPLY A FILE EXTENSION FOR THE
  122.  FILE TO BE CREATED.  SHEZ CURRENTLY WILL
  123.  ALLOW YOU TO CREATE ZIP,ARC,ZOO,LZH and
  124.  PAK files!!!!!

  126.  You will also be asked if you want to
  127.  TAG files to be added/moved or process
  128.  the entered file spec as is.

  130.  If the compression program you choose
  131.  supports saving path information you will
  132.  also be asked if you want to save
  133.  directory information, and if you want to
  134.  recurse the directory tree.

  137. *ctld  !!delete tagged!!
  138.  This option will delete all tagged files
  139.  from the compressed file.  You will be
  140.  asked to verify the delete before the
  141.  files are actually deleted from the
  142.  compressed file.

  145.  This option will extract all tagged
  146.  files from the compressed file.
  147.  
  148. *ctlt  !!update compressed time and date!!
  149.  This option will set the compressed
  150.  file's time and date to the time and
  151.  date corresponding to the newest file in
  152.  the compressed file.

  154. *ctlu  !!untag all!!
  155.  This option will untag all currently
  156.  tagged files.
  157.  
  158. *ctlsp  !!tag all files!!
  159.  This option will tag all files in the
  160.  currently displayed window.

  163.  This option will convert a self
  164.  extracting file back to its native
  165.  compressed file format. The self
  166.  extracting file will remain untouched.
  167.  The normal compressed file will be
  168.  built on the same drive and directory
  169.  where self extracting file is found.

  172.  This option will delete the currently
  173.  highlighted file from the compressed
  174.  file. You will be asked to verify the
  175.  delete before the delete is actually
  176.  done.

  180.  highlighted file onto the default disk
  181.  drive and directory, or the
  182.  DISK:\DIRECTORY that was specified via
  183.  the ALT-P command.

  186.  Using this option you can specify the
  187.  file(s) you wish to FRESHEN in the
  188.  compressed file. You may enter multiple
  189.  filespecs in the entry window.  Wild

  194.  This option will temporarily exit to
  195.  DOS. You may then execute any DOS
  196.  command.  To return to SHEZ

  202.  DRIVE:\PATH to change to.  You may also
  203.  specify a filename and file extension if
  204.  you wish. Wild card in the name and

  213.  This option will allow you to edit a
  214.  file in the compressed file.  This
  215.  option will only work if you specified
  216.  an editor to use when you configured

  220.  Using this option you can specify how
  221.  you want the compressed files sorted on
  222.  the screen. They can be sorted by Name,
  223.  Extension, or Date.

  226.  These options allow you to set the
  227.  compression factor that will be used by
  228.  the ZIP program.  You may choose a
  229.  factor for ASCII files and one for
  230.  BINARY files.  If you are using version
  231.  .92 or greater of PKZIP you may choose
  232.  one of the Maximize options listed
  233.  instead of choosing the ASCII or BINARY
  234.  compression factor options.

  425.  This option allows you to specify if you
  426.  want to save and/or use path information
  427.  when working with compressed files.

  430.  This option will immediately exit
  431.  SHEZ.

  434.  This option will extract and run the
  435.  highlighted EXE or COM file.  You will be
  436.  prompted to enter the optional command line
  437.  parameters that the program may need.  When
  438.  the program ends the extracted file will be
  439.  deleted.

  441. *s  !!add/update file comments!!
  442.  This option allows you to add and or
  443.  update the comment records associated
  444.  with the currently highlighted file.

  446. *sft-s  !!add/update file comments!!
  447.  This option allows you to add and or
  448.  update the comment records assocaited
  449.  with each file in the compressed file.

  451. *t  !!test compressed!!
  452.  This option will test the integrity of
  453.  the compressed file.

  455. *u       !!update!!
  456.  Using this option you can specify the
  457.  file(s) you wish to UPDATE in the
  458.  compressed file. You may enter multiple
  459.  filespecs in the entry window.  Wild
  460.  cards are allowed for filenames and file
  461.  extensions.

  463. *v  !!view!!
  464.  This option will allow you to view the
  465.  contents of a file in the compressed
  466.  file.  The LIST.COM program will be used
  467.  to view the file.
  468.  
  469. *z  !!mask!!
  470.  This option allows you to specify a file
  471.  mask to be used when displaying the
  472.  contents of a compressed file.  For
  473.  example if you specify a mask of *.C
  474.  only the files having an extension of C
  475.  will be displayed on the screen.

  477. *mcf4 !!delete tagged files!!
  478.  This option will delete all files that
  479.  have been tagged in the file window.
  480.  After all the files are deleted the file
  481.  window will be refreshed.

  483. *mf3  !!view file!!
  484.  This option allows you to view the
  485.  highlighted file.

  487. *mf4  !!delete file!!
  488.  This option allows you to delete the
  489.  highlighted file.  You will be prompted
  490.  to verify the delete.

  493.  This option will display the highlighted
  494.  file's time,date,and size.

  497.  This option will sort the file list by
  498.  File name, File extension, or File date,

  500.  prompt. Enter a N, E, or D.

  503.  F8 will make a self extracting file from
  504.  the highlighted file.
  505.  SHIFT-F8 will make self extracting files
  506.  from all tagged files.

  510. *malt-c  !!add/update file comments!!
  511.  This option allows you to add and or update
  512.  file comment records in all tagged
  513.  compressed files. You will be prompted for a
  514.  data file that contains the comment
  515.  record(s) you wish to add.

  517. *malt-v  !!convert one file!!
  518.  This option will convert the highlighted
  519.  archive file from one format archive to
  520.  another format archive. You will be
  521.  asked if you want to delete the original
  522.  archive file after the conversion is
  523.  complete.

  525. *mctl-v  !!convert tagged!!
  526.  This option will convert all tagged
  527.  archive file(s) from one format archive
  528.  to another format archive. You will be
  529.  asked if you want to delete the original
  530.  archive file(s) after the conversion is
  531.  complete.

  533. *malt-r  !!reread directory!!
  534.  This option will reread the current
  535.  directory and refresh the displayed file
  536.  list.

  538. *malt-w  !!write cfg file!!
  539.  This option will write the current SHEZ
  540.  configuration options out to a file
  541.  named SHEZ.CFG.  The file will be written
  542.  to the current disk:\directory.  This file
  543.  will be used by the SHEZCFG program to set
  544.  the default SHEZ program options when you
  545.  configure SHEZ.

  547. *malt-z  !!virus check!!
  548.  This option will check ALL .COM ,.EXE, .OVL
  549.  files in all tagged compressed files,

  570.  the entered destination and then deleted
  571.  from the current location.

  574.  This option allows you to rename the
  575.  highlighted file. You will be prompted
  576.  to enter new filename information.
  577.  You must at least enter a filename and
  578.  extension in the TO: field.
  579.  
  580. *msfx !!copy,move,delete,rename tagged files!!
  581.  This option will copy,move,delete, or
  582.  rename all files that have been tagged in
  583.  the file window. After all the files are
  584.  operated on, the file window will be
  585.  refreshed.

  587. *print !!help for print!!
  588.  This option will print the currently
  589.  highlighted file.  If you are working
  590.  with an ARC,ZOO,LZH or PAK file output
  591.  will always go to the DOS PRN device.

  593. *nomatch  !!no matching file found!!
  594.  No matching files where found in the directory that is displayed
  595.  in the information window.  Pressing ESC will exit SHEZ, pressing
  596.  F2 will allow you to create a compressed file, and pressing
  597.  F3 allows you to specify a new DISK:\DIRECTORY to look at.
