Plus, the still graphics, such as those inside the ship are bland in the extreme sense of the word. I know they have no real bearing on the game as a whole, but at current prices consumers deserve a few more rounded edges and nice touches.
There's no soundtrack, which is no great loss as they invariably tend to be excruciatingly annoying. But the sound effects are very good - in fact they are probably the best in any sim I've played.
The overall impression of Hokum is decidedly average. It's certainly a simulation of unrivalled detail and technical accuracy. The problem with this, however, is that flying real helicopters in real scenarios is a lot more difficult and a lot less interesting than most people believe.
It's a very realistic simulation, and real helicopter pilots spend absolutely ages learning to fly properly.
