Collectively, the SU's outposts gross a turnover of nearly รบ3 million - several times more than most. However, the commercial success of the SU is not reflected in the political activities, which don't muster the masses in a radical frenzy. With the exception of a hard left hard core, it's more a case of managing to persuade a few students to sit around drinking coffee and shaking their heads about the Government's latest attack on education. However, following a successful occupation, and a broadside against the Council Tax, the SU is experiencing an increase in political activity and students have been getting involved in many local projects and pressure groups of a semi-political nature.[EITAL][ITAL][HDNG]SU FACILITIES:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA]With most facilities at Frenchay, the collected provisions of the SU include: 4 bars; minibus for hire; travel agency; 4 general shops; NatWest Bank (with cashpoint at Frenchay); Endsleigh Insurance office; photocopying; library; photo booth; games and vending machines; pool tables; juke box.[HDNG]CLUBS (NON SPORTING):[EHDNG][PARA]Asian; Buddhist; Deaf Language; International; Law; Modern Languages; Nurses; Juggling; Rave; Real Ale; Role Playing; Splat (Paintballing).[HDNG]OTHER ORGANISATIONS:[EHDNG][PARA]The SU publishes 'Bacus' for all students in the city.
