[EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Cinemas: [EBOLD](1) Odeon with 4 screens.[PARA][BOLD]Theatres:[EBOLD] (2) The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre which is sometimes a springboard for West End shows and The Bellerby which concentrates more on fringe, rep and amateur drama.[PARA][BOLD]Clubs/discos: [EBOLD](3) [ITAL]The student haunt is the cheap and cheerful [EITAL]Bojanglez, although on a Thursday it's student night at Cinderellas [ITAL](cattle-markety and more expensive)[EITAL]. There's also the [ITAL]up-market [EITAL]Harpers, [ITAL]popular with Sloanes.[EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Music venues: [EBOLD](2) The Civic Hall hosts a range of music styles from classical (Guildford Philarmonic Orchestra) to East 17.[HDNG]UNIVERSITY:[EHDNG][PARA][GRPH]E3[EGRPH][STAT][BULL] Price of a pint of beer: ú1.50 [BULL] Glass of wine: ú1.10[ESTAT][PARA][BOLD]Bars: [EBOLD](4) The Upper Bar [ITAL]is, in effect, the main drinking hole. [ITAL]For evening entertainment, Guildford has a veritable fiesta of feast factories, but unfortunately, most are way beyond student pockets. [EITAL]However, within reach and within budget, students find their fill at a variety of Mexican, Indian and Thai restaurants. For fast food and fat, there are the usual grease buckets, pizza parlours and Chinese. [PUSH]push[EPUSH][ITAL]plugs: Bamboo Garden (value Chinese); Muswell's (American, blow large quantities of the folding stuff); Bites (carry on biting even after the clubs close).[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
