The [PARA]theatre is open to the people of Stirling as well as students. It [PARA]features drama, opera, ballet and modern dance. Stirling sent a [PARA]show to the Edinburgh Fringe last year, [ITAL]but its hardly a long trek.[EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Clubs/discos:[EBOLD] The Disco Bar has a capacity of 400 and plays [PARA]party host 5 times a week.[PARA][BOLD]Music venues:[EBOLD] In Robbins, the small bar (cap 200) and the Union [PARA]bar throb with the vibes of live sounds.[PARA][BOLD]Recent band appearances:[EBOLD] The Orb. That Swing Thang.[PARA][BOLD]Cabaret: [EBOLD]Lee Evans and Jeff Green have left a few sides in need [PARA]of needle and thread recently.[PARA][BOLD]Others:[EBOLD] There are numerous balls each year, not least the [PARA]graduation ball in the castle, and the Sports Union Ball.[HDNG]EATING OUT:[EHDNG][PARA]The campus cafeteria is open from lunchtime through to the [PARA]evening eating hour and its convenience makes it very popular. 3 [PARA]of the Union bars provide food throughout the day (10am to 8pm) [PARA]offering sarnies, snacks, pizzas and so on. Students also eat in [PARA]the pubs and cafes in town. The bistro biz is done by Indian, [PARA]Italian and American restaurants, a fish and chip shop - [ITAL]all good [PARA]quality and fairly cheap. There's also a kebab joint called the [PARA]'Sawney Bean', after a notorious Scottish cannibal. Yummy.[EITAL]
