A Sport and Recreation degree is offered at Stoke and consequently, the facilities are much better than at Stafford. [EITAL]The University won more individual medals at the 1991 World Student Games than any other higher education institution in Europe (including Loughborough!). Many were in athletics. There are small charges for some of the newest facilities[ITAL] [EITAL](eg 50p).[HDNG]SPORTS FACILITIES:[EHDNG][PARA]Both sites have playing fields (80 acres at Stafford, 60 at Stoke), a floodlit 5-a-side astroturf pitch, full size all-weather pitch, weights room, squash and badminton courts, dance/aerobics studio, fitness suite and a climbing wall. In addition, Stoke has a swimming pool. Rudyard Lake is used by the rowing club. Both towns have a leisure centre and Stafford has a bowling green.
