[ITAL]The [PARA]College does have the advantage of being well-known for its [PARA]drama courses.[EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Clubs/discos and music venues:[EBOLD] 3 nights a week, there's serious [PARA]clubbing in the SU (cap 950, ú1-4) or Holloways (400, free-ú3).[PARA][BOLD]Recent band appearances:[EBOLD] Jamiroquai; Zodiac Mindwarp; [PARA]D:Ream; Incognito; Sultans of Ping FC.[PARA][BOLD]Cabaret:[EBOLD] Every couple of weeks in Holloways or the Union, [PARA]featuring chuckle monsters like Stevie Starr, Nicholas Parsons, [PARA]Doug Anthony Allstars and plenty of bloody hypnotists.[PARA][BOLD]Others:[EBOLD] [ITAL]Since there's little else to do around this part of the world,[EITAL][PARA]the SU runs ents on virtually every night of the week. Clubs and [PARA]societies hold functions and there are film nights and the summer[PARA]ball (2,000 people, tickets ú40 a throw).[HDNG]EATING OUT:[EHDNG][PARA]The Crossland Suite serves hot food and sarnies, [ITAL]but it's not [PARA]great value. The Founder's Dining Hall is a bit better, and Athlone [PARA]better still, although in both, portions are small and still not cheap [PARA]unless students have a Girovend card - [EITAL]a subsidy card for livers [PARA]in [ITAL](and which they have criticised as a poor deal)[EITAL]. The SU sells [PARA]bar food and pizzas. [ITAL] The best places to eat out are the pubs: The[PARA]Happy Man and Rose and Olive do good grub. [EITAL]Tandoori, Italian [PARA]and Chinese restaurants can be found in Egham,[ITAL] but are [PARA]viciously expensive, except the Bengal Brasserie (portions big [PARA]enough to merit the cost). Bar 163 also comes recommended, for[PARA]special nights out.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
