[ITAL] That doesn't stop the students though who[PARA]will book any local club at the drop of a hat.[EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Music venues:[EBOLD] The Pavilions in the Union has free weekly band [PARA]nights and more live sounds at weekends.[PARA][BOLD]Cabaret:[EBOLD] At the Union in Plymouth, there are about 3 cabaret [PARA]nights a term (recently Jim Tavare, Bob Downe).[PARA][BOLD]Others:[EBOLD] Balls galore, especially the Rag Valentine Ball and the [PARA]Union Mayfair Ball.[HDNG]EATING OUT:[EHDNG][PARA]Around the sites, there are 8 University-run refectories and 1 at [PARA]the Union. Students can also forage for fodder and scavenge for[PARA]scoff in the local pubs and restaurants which are mostly English, [PARA]although there's also a flurry of curries. [ITAL]The quality is high, but [PARA]so's the cost.[EITAL] [PUSH]push[EPUSH][ITAL]plugs: Cafe Des Artistes (cheap - nominated [PARA]the 2nd best veggie in Britain); the Crepery; Capin Jasper (famous[PARA]18" hot dog); Caspian Kebabs (open till 4am).
