The houses [ITAL]are pleasant and very well situated[EITAL] in the centre near the Anglican Cathedral. [ITAL]The flats in Laurel and Catherine Mott Courts are also good. The other flats are in Crete and Candia Towers in Everton which is a pretty dismal area and the 2 Kafka-esque tower blocks are right at home. It's not that the accommodation's bad, it's just that a lot of it is in family homes, which may well be just your cup of tea, so long as you like drinking it out of other people's cups with pinkie cocked. Other alternatives, of varying standards, are available. Some areas have developed as decidedly studenty, such as Wavertree (a veritable student ghetto), Sefton Park (more expensive, but arty, converted flats), Allerton, Mossley Hill, Lark Lane, Tuebrook, Old Swan and the famous Penny Lane. Some areas are less salubrious, such as Everton, Toxteth, and Kensington, but students do live there quite happily. Car parking depends very much on the area: further out of the city, it becomes easier, but public transport is fine.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
