[HDNG]KING'S COLLEGE LONDON STUDENTS' UNION (KCLSU):[EHDNG][PARA][GRPH]P5[EGRPH][STAT][BULL] 4 sabbaticals [BULL] Turnout at last ballot: 18% [BULL] NUS [PARA]member [ESTAT][PARA][ITAL]KCLSU has a tiny political core and does its little bit for student [PARA]representation, but is essentially a slick organiser of student ents,[PARA]bars and clubs. Students at the hospital have their own SU, [PARA]King's College Hospital Student's Guild, which, does more for fun[PARA]than EuroDisney. [EITAL][BOLD]Also ULU: [EBOLD]see [ULNE]University of London[EULNE].[PARA][PARA][BOLD][HDNG]SU FACILITIES:[EHDNG][EBOLD][PARA]KCLSU has facilities in the Macadam Building (named after [PARA]NUS's first President) and at the Chelsea and Kensington sites, [PARA]including 4 bars, 2 cafes, general shop, bookshop, travel office, [PARA]Tutu's night club, Endsleigh Insurance Office, Barclays [PARA]cashpoint, 2 minibuses and games machines, as well as access [PARA]to 35 minibuses (although they don't keep them in the building).[HDNG]CLUBS (NON SPORTING):[EHDNG][PARA]Asian; Club Soc; Hong Kong and Singapore; Vietnamese.[HDNG]OTHER ORGANISATIONS:[EHDNG][PARA]There's 'Roar', a SU mag, 'King's Bench' (for legal students), [PARA]and an ents sheet called 'What's What'. King's charity Rag does [PARA]all the normal [ITAL]stupid [EITAL]and occasionally illegal things that students [PARA]get up to in the name of charity. In particular, London colleges [PARA]have a penchant for pinching each other's mascots. King's [PARA]mascot was Reggie, a 1/4 ton, red copper lion, until he was stolen[PARA]by City and Guilds who castrated him. Now the mascot is a red [PARA]concrete lion which, being such a challenge, was quickly stolen [PARA]with the aid of trucks and winches.[HDNG]RELIGIOUS:[EHDNG][PARA][STAT][BULL] 4 chaplains (CofE, Orthodox, RC, Free Church)[ESTAT][PARA]A chapel at the Strand and Muslim prayer rooms at both [PARA]Kensington and Chelsea.[HDNG]PAID WORK:[EHDNG][PARA][ITAL]There are more opportunities in London for part-time work than [PARA]anywhere else, but there are also more people trying to get those[PARA]jobs. Students find work in all the usual places like bars and [PARA]restaurants and also in theatres, offices and shops.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
