[PARA]However, ever since the University was founded, students have [PARA]been saying central student facilities should be better. Despite [PARA]not having a proper central focus, politically and socially, the [PARA]Union is a bubbling boiling pot.[EITAL][HDNG]SU FACILITIES:[EHDNG][PARA]Minibus; travel agency; printing; Endsleigh Insurance office; [PARA]general shop; 2nd hand bookshop; pool table; juke box; vending [PARA]machines; TV lounge; meeting room; launderette. Also banks [PARA]with cashpoints on campus.[HDNG]CLUBS (NON SPORTING):[EHDNG][PARA]Anti-Fascist; Brazilian; Japanese; Jazz and Blues; Malaysian; [PARA]Militant Democrats; RCP; Rock 'n' Roll; Russian; Sci-Fi.[HDNG]OTHER ORGANISATIONS:[EHDNG][PARA]'Kred' is the student newspaper, produced by the Union. There is[PARA]also a student radio station on campus. There is a charity Rag [PARA]and the student community organisation works with local help [PARA]projects.[HDNG]RELIGIOUS:[EHDNG][PARA][STAT][BULL] 7 chaplains (CofE, RC, Baptist, Methodist, Quaker, [PARA]Orthodox, Jewish)[ESTAT][PARA]The Eliot Chapel is the campus prayer place although there are [PARA]various makeshift worship shops in the colleges as well as a [PARA]Muslim prayer room. In town, there's the Cathedral, of course, [ITAL][PARA]but Christians who fancy something a little less lofty don't have to[PARA]worry about any kind of theological drought. Non-Christians may [PARA]get a bit more spiritually thirsty. [EITAL][PARA][PARA][ITAL][HDNG]PAID WORK:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA]During the summer, the Garden of England offers a monumental[PARA]set of gardening tasks such as hop and fruit picking. It's also [PARA]possible to find jobs teaching English as a foreign language.[PARA][PARA]
