[HDNG]INTRODUCTION:[EHDNG][PARA][GRPH]S2[EGRPH][STAT][BULL] Recent successes: volleyball [ESTAT][PARA][ITAL]As with many other things, the University has sports facilities that[PARA]were intended for somewhere much larger. But, who's [PARA]complaining? The number of students means that the University [PARA]is less likely to boast as many bionic men and women as larger [PARA]colleges, but it still holds its own (and sometimes other people's) [PARA]in competitions, while maintaining a good overall level of [PARA]participation. [EITAL][PARA][PARA][ITAL][HDNG]SPORTS FACILITIES:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA]40 acres of the parkland are used for sports fields including [PARA]playing fields, a grass athletics track, a floodlit synthetic sports [PARA]pitch; 3 all-weather tennis courts; 4 new squash courts; new [PARA]fitness room; archery range; an exercise circuit ('the Squirrel [PARA]Run'), the only 18-hole frisbee golf course in the country and, of [PARA]course, the 3 lakes. Also a gym and sports hall including 6 [PARA]badminton courts, another tennis court, a climbing wall, 6 squash [PARA]courts (4 elsewhere on campus), weights and other indoor sports[PARA]facilities. Colchester also provides swimming pools and a roller [PARA]rink.[HDNG]SPORTING CLUBS:[EHDNG][PARA]Frisbee; Gliding; Handball; Hiking; Korfball; Parachuting; [PARA]Racquetball; Sailing; Ten Pin Bowling; Thai Boxing; Weightlifting; [PARA]Windsurfing.[HDNG]ATTRACTIONS:[EHDNG][PARA]Colchester United are the local football team, and need we [PARA]mention Essex County Cricket Club?
