After the 1st year, students are on their own. 1st years not in halls, might be offered rooms in council-owned houses (part of a head tenancy scheme) or catered lodgings with a live-in landlord/lady. These, and a number of other places, have been checked out by the University and the rent is monitored.[PARA][BOLD]Car parking:[EBOLD] Available with a card that makes a electric barrier go up and down.
