[ITAL]It has a reputation for a liberal attitude, left wing politicos and students from state schools, but with plenty of closet Tories, only by Cambridge standards can King's be called radical. In fact, there's a good mix of all Cambridge's different types. There's still the same staid hierarchy[EITAL], such as a court for fellows and ducks only. [ITAL] Excellence in everything is vital: the orchestra, the choir, work... [EITAL] [ITAL]if you can't take the heat, get out of the oven.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]The biggest college bar in Cambridge (cap 300); Cellar Bar (110)); 1 other bar; all bars, dining hall, chapel (250) and Keynes Hall (200) are used for bands; bops in Cellars (150) are [ITAL]more hip than something very hip indeed. [EITAL]Every term there is a 'Mingle' (a mini ball); 'June Event' is a deluxe 'Mingle'. Art room with resident artist. 'Red Dragon Pie' student magazine; library (100,000 books); 20 computers; ecumenical chapel. Sports fields (6 acres) 15 mins walk; success in lacrosse and basket ball. Students live in and eat in the dining hall; [ITAL]not bad [EITAL]self-catering provisions[ITAL].
