  1. This is Solitude for Windows v1.42.  It runs under Windows 95/98/NT.  
  2. Solitude for Windows is a freeware collection of 80 distinct solitaire
  3. card games. Solitude features Undo, game selection, replay, statistics,
  4. game help and a unified menu for launching all the games. The games
  5. currently include:

  7. Aces Up, Alhambra, Auld Lang Syne, Baker's Dozen, Baker's Game, Batsford, Beleaguered Castle,
  8. Betsy Ross, Black Hole, Blind Patience, Bowling, Bristol, Calculation, Canfield, Carpet, Chameleon, 
  9. Clock, Cruel, Deuces, Dutchess, Eagle Wing, Easthaven, Eight Off, Fire And Ice, Flower Garden, Gaps,
  10. Fly, Fortress, Four Kingdoms, Four Seasons, Fourteen Out, FreeCel, Frog, Gargantua, Golf, Good Measure,
  11. King Albert, Klondike, La Belle Lucie, Lady Betty, Limited, Lucas, Miss Milligan, Monte Carlo,
  12. Moojub, Napoleon at St. Helena, Nestor, Osmosis, Rank and File, Pas Seul, Peek, Pluto, Poker Solitaire,
  13. Pyramid, Scorpion, Seven Devils, Shamrocks, Simple Simon, Simplicity, Sir Tommy, Six By Six,

  18. The program is distributed in a zip file solt_142.zip and contains a
  19. setup program (called SETUP.EXE) which is used to install the files
  20. needed for Solitude for Windows.  You do not need the contents of the
  21. sol_142.zip file once the setup is complete.

  23. If you have solitude 1.12, 1.15, 1.16, 1.28, 1.31 or 1.35 installed, you can install directly over it 
  24. or you can  go into  Control Panel and use the Add/Remove programs to uninstall the previous version 
  25. BEFORE installing.  If you have version 1.10 or earlier installed, you can remove those files manually.
  26. There was no install/uninstall available for Solitude version 1.10 and earlier.
