- JIMMY WHITE'S 2: CUEBALL*
-
- This game demonstration features high resolution video file which has been
- compressed using the latest Intel Indeo* compression system. The Indeo* player
- will install simply without needing to reboot your machine. It will run on most
- multimedia PC's running Microsoft Windows '95* with Pentium*, Pentium MMX*,
- Pentium II* and Cyrix* processors.
-
-
-
- TO INSTALL ...
- ---------------------------
-
- The Avi / Video will play smoothest if you copy the files to a spare location
- on your hard drive needing approximately 30mb, but it will also run from a CD.
-
- To see the video properly, you must first install the Indeo* player onto your system.
- This is done simply by double-clicking on file "ivplay.exe" file. The software
- will install the necessary files into the Multimedia folder of your system's Control
- Panel. You will NOT need to reboot.
-
- Following installation you can watch the video by double clicking on the file
- called 'CueBall.avi' or similar depending on the country you live in.
-
-
-
- Notes
- ------------------------
-
- The Video is a selection of preview clips from the real time generated version
- of Cueball, most of which show the Snooker room and main game only. There are some
- clips from the Pool room and the Hallway area of the game. None of the Subgames or
- other interactive objects are featured, because you would be watching a Video an
- hour long otherwise.
-
- The actual game runs on most PC's at a 25 to 30 hz frame rate in real time,
- whilst the AVI video is a fixed 15 frames per second and does not capture the
- smoothness or fast action of some areas of the game.
-
- The Indeo* player maintains the frame rate on most processors by adjusting the
- video player back quality accordingly. It will work on an ordinary Pentium 133,
- even if not a MMX chip. It will also run direct from the CD so long as the CD
- speed is an 8 speed or higher player.
-
- The image can be made to run in full screen mode, but the default is a 640*480 window.
- The video also has music accompanying it during the main replay, although you
- will need a reasonable 16 bit sound card with the volume turned up.
-
- If the Indeo* player is already in your system the installer will do a version
- check and update itself if an older version is found.
