  21. Pc-Log is a simple Windows95 utility designed to keep track of your 
  22. computer start and stop times. Useful tool for those people that want
  23. to know how much time they are actually spending on their computers.

  28.  * Automatically records the date & time when Windows starts, and
  29.    naturally the time when shut down.
  30.  * Builds a scrollable log history, and calculates the length of
  31.    each log session including accumulated summaries. 
  32.  * Records the username of multi-profile logins.
  33.  * Graphically display usage activity patterns.
  34.  * Allways available from desktop. Accessed from the system tray.
  35.  * Keeps track of failed shutdowns and when last recorded.

  38. What's New to version 2.10
  39. ==========================
  40. Improved data logging techniques. Session periods are now updated in the 
  41. background improving log accuracy, and not lost should a failed shutdown 
  42. or reboot condition occur. Secondly, the elapsed timer no longer has a 24 
  43. hour limit restriction. This counter has been moved into the Log Window 
  44. under the Duration column for the current log entry. Thirdly, the daily 
  45. graph resosultion has been increased from the previous 1 hour unit down 
  46. to 15 minutes. Finally, this version also introduces extra graphs showing 
  47. month and year usage patterns for those users who need to keep lengthy 
  48. audit trails. A point to remember, as the log grows, the time taken to 
  49. process the log also grows accordingly. So depending on the speed of the 
  50. users machine, it may be neccessary to clear the log on a routine basis.

  53. Shareware Restrictions
  54. ======================
  55. The shareware version permits the user to record log entries for a
  56. period of twenty-one (21)days. This time period should be adequate 
  57. for the user to evaluate the program as per the license agreement.

  61. ============
  62.  * A registration fee of $15 Australian Dollars will allow you to
  63.    become a fully registered user.
  64.  * Registered users have the benefit of using the program without
  65.    any shareware restrictions.
  66.  * Registered users will automatically receive free updates direct
  67.    from the author when new versions are released.
  68.  * Registered users encourage the author to continue developing
  69.    good quality software applications for its users.

  96. Installation
  97. ============
  98.  * UnZip the archive PCLOG.ZIP into a directory of your choice.
  99.  * Create a shortcut in your startup folder to make "PCLOG.EXE"
  100.    application run automatically whenever the computer is started.
  101.  * The next time the computer starts, you will see a new PC icon
  102.    located in the system tray.
  103.  * Click the PC icon to make the log window popup!
