  12. FEATURES:
  13. Tired of constantly having to "clear" your Win95 Start Menu of
  14. recently opened documents?  Annoyed by the long list of document
  15. titles that appear when you display your Start Menu?  Well then,
  16. DocSweep is for you!
  17.  
  18. DocSweep is a 32-bit Windows 95 utility that runs silently in the 
  19. background, scanning your Start Menu's submenu of recently opened
  20. documents every 10 seconds and automatically deleting the list when
  21. it becomes longer than you want.  DocSweep also monitors your temporary
  22. folder and alerts you on Windows shutdown or startup if undeleted files
  23. remain there.  DocSweep options are invoked through a popup menu that
  24. appears when you right or left-click on the DocSweep tray icon. Detailed
  25. information is found in the DocSweep.Hlp file.

  27. INSTALLATION:
  28. For automated installation, run Install.Exe after unzipping the DocSwp.Zip
  29. archive.  To install manually, move DocSweep.Exe, DocSweep.Hlp, Register.Hlp
  30. and DocSweep.Txt to a folder of your choice.  Put a shortcut to DocSweep.Exe
  31. in your Win95 Startup folder, and the program will be launched each time you
  32. start Windows.  DocSweep runs in the background, displaying only a tray icon
  33. in the system tray.

  35. OPERATION:
  36. By default, DocSweep permits 3 recent document titles to accumulate
  37. on your Start Menu, and it deletes the entire list when the 4th entry
  38. appears.  You can change this default value by clicking the Setting item
  39. on the popup menu, and selecting any number from 0 to 25.  By clicking
  40. QuickClear on the popup menu, you immediately clear all document
  41. titles from your Start Menu without altering your existing setting.

  43. REGISTRATION - $15:
  44. DocSweep is shareware and is distributed "as is".  Unregistered users
  45. receive 30 evaluation launches before being asked to register.  Upon
  46. registration and payment of a $15 fee, a registration code is provided
  47. by email or US mail.  When the code is input to DocSweep, the reminder
  48. screen is disabled and the user is entitled to 90 days of technical support.

  50. DOCSWEEP 3.0 can be registered in any of the following ways:

  52. 1.  On-line via CompuServe's Shareware Registration Forum (GO SWREG).
  53. CompuServe  subscribers may register on-line (GO SWREG) by using
  54. registration ID 12872 for DocSweep.  Your CompuServe account will
  55. be billed for the registration fee, and your registration code will
  56. be sent to you by CompuServe mail within 48 hours.

  58. 2.  By TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE CALL to our NorthStar Solutions clearinghouse
  59. at 1-800-699-6395 (10 AM to 8 PM EST, Monday - Saturday). You'll be asked
  60. for the program name, credit card information and an address (electronic
  61. or postal) to send your registration code. Sorry, the code cannot be
  62. supplied by NorthStar, and NorthStar does NOT provide technical support.
  63. You'll receive an E-mail confirmation from NorthStar, and we'll send your
  64. registration code by Internet mail within 48 hours or by U. S. mail.

  67. 3.  NorthStar registrations are accepted 24 hours by FAX at 1-803-699-5465

  77. Select the product you wish to register (DocSweep) and follow the
  78. instructions provided at the site. Others may be using the site, so
  79. please be patient if it's temporarily busy. The same procedures apply
  80. to NorthStar Internet registrations as apply to telephone registrations.
  81. We'll send your registration code by Internet mail within 48 hours or
  82. by U. S. mail if you prefer.

  84. 5.  GET A DISCOUNT! By mail to Spaeder Technologies Inc.(STI) using
  85. the form provided with our shareware product, usually found in the
  86. help file.  The mail registration fee is $12, a discount of $3 per
  87. registration from the usual $15 fee.  Fill out the form and send it
  88. to STI along with a check drawn on a U. S. bank, a U. S. postal money
  89. order, or an American Express money order (foreign purchasers), and
  90. we'll send your registration code by Internet mail or U. S. Mail. If
  91. the mail moves as it should, you'll have your registration code by
  92. Internet mail within 3 days! Credit card orders are NOT accepted by
  93. mail.
