  10. What is MagicViewer
  11. -------------------
  12. MagicViewer is a Windows 95/NT program designed to make your computer
  13. graphics experience fun and creative! In addition to its compact size
  14. and fast performance that make it your best graphics viewer, it also
  15. has the most sophisticated functions for creating animated GIFs for
  16. your web pages. Furthermore, a batch conversion tool is included to
  17. translate your graphics files into different formats or color modes to
  18. make your file management and web upload preparation a snap.

  20. Here is a brief summary of the main features:

  22.    1. Create and view off-line animated GIF files.
  23.    2. Optimize animated GIF files for faster download and better
  24.       display.
  25.    3. Batch convert files into various formats and color modes.

  28.    5. Create 'Drop Shadow' effect of your graphics and other photo

  34. How to install MagicViewer

  36. If you received this version of MagicViewer in a zip file,
  37. unzip it into an empty folder and run Setup.exe from that folder.

  39. If you received it on a floppy disk, run Setup.exe from your
  40. floppy drive.

  59. How to uninstall MagicViewer
  60. ----------------------------
  61. To remove MagicViewer from your system:
  62.  
  63. 1. Open Windows Control Panel from Start menu --> Settings.
  64. 2. Launch 'Add/Remove Programs'.
  65. 3. Select 'MagicViewer 1.2' from the list and click 'Add/Remove...'
  66.    button.
  67. 4. Wait until the uninstaller finishes.

  88. How to Register

  90. This fully-functional shareware version of MagicViewer will time out
  91. 30 days after the first usage. If you like it and find it useful please
  92. consider registering it. When you register, you will get a new copy of
  93. the registered version of MagicViewer that will not expire, a free
  94. upgrade to the next version when it is available, and a dedicated email
  95. address to the author for prompt support.

  97. There are two ways to register MagicViewer:

  99. 1. Register directly with the author:
  100.     We only accept checks from US banks or money orders in US currency.

  108. 2. Register with Kagi payment processing service:
  109.     A number of payment methods are supported by Kagi including
  110.     credit cards, check or money order, invoice, First Virtual or
  111.     cash in a variety of exchangeable currencies.

  113. To register with Kagi, run the "Register.exe" program included in the
  114. installed folder, which is the same folder that MagicViewer.exe is 
  115. located in. Follow the instructions in the dialog box and send the
  116. payment data to Kagi via email or postal mail.

  118. In either of the methods, please include your email or postal address
  119. for delivery. The registered version of MagicViewer will be sent to you
  120. within one week after we receive your registration fee.
