- Pretty Good Solitaire 97 is a 32-bit program for Windows
- 95 and NT. It will not run under Windows 3.1. A 16-bit
- program that has many of the same features as this
- program, Pretty Good Solitaire 2.2, is also available.

- -- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS --

- Run the program SETUP.EXE.

- -- RUNNING THE PROGRAM --

- To run the games, run the file GOODSOL.EXE. To play a
- particular game, click on its name on the main screen. To
- see the rules for a particular game, goto the help menu or
- press F1. In most games, the cards can be moved by
- drag and drop. Also, to quickly move a card, try
- right-clicking on the card. For a guide on how to use
- Pretty Good Solitaire, read the tips provided by the
- program at startup.

- This program is shareware. Continued use of Pretty Good
- Solitaire beyond a 30-day evaluation period requires
- registration. Registration will bring you instructions on
- how to get rid of the registration reminder screens and
- other benefits (see the help file). Some features of this
- program will be disabled after the 30 day trial period and
- you must register to continue use. To register, print out

- WHAT'S NEW IN THIS RELEASE --
- This version fixes bugs from 3.97.0, including an error
- that occurred when opening Options, many small
- problems in individual games (including Seven Devils, Sir
- Tommy, Stepping Stone, Double FreeCell, Tournament,
- and others), and errors in the help file. Most
- importantly, this version updates many support files
- (see http://www.goodsol.com/issues97.html for a list of
- the files updated). The only new feature in this
- release is the ability to change background color/bitmap
- for all 160 games at once, rather than one at a time as
- before.
