  8. THE OBJECT
  9. Bounce Yakko on a trampoline to pop balloons and spoil the polyester
  10. dinosaur Baloney's party. Use the mouse to move from left to right.

  12. TO PLAY
  13. *Once you've downloaded and extracted the Animaniacs Demo files, 
  14.  go to your hard drive.
  15. *Double-click on the AnimDemo folder
  16. *Double-click on the exe. 
  17.  
  18. GAME OPTIONS
  19. Select "Game Options" from the Main Menu to change the
  20. Left, Right, Jump and Fire keys.
  21.  
  22. If you wish to exit the Animaniacs Demo at any time, press <Ctrl> & <Q>.

  36. COMPAQ COMPUTERS:

  38. To avoid problems when running the Animaniacs Demo 
  39. on Compaq machines while using the Compaq wallpaper, we
  40. suggest that the wallpaper be turned off or set to NONE.
  41. To change your wallpaper, go to Control Panel, Display. Refer
  42. to your Windows documentation for further details.

  44. If you still encounter a problem, try changing your display
  45. settings to 256 colors. See CHANGING YOUR COLOR DEPTH below.

  49. CHANGING YOUR COLOR DEPTH

  51. The Animaniacs Demo  was designed to run in 256-colors.
  52. If you experience problems running any part of the Demo, try 
  53. changing your display settings to a higher color depth.

  55. To increase the number of colors in Windows 95:
  56.  
  57. 1. From the START menu, go to SETTINGS
  58. 2. From the SETTINGS menu, select CONTROL PANEL
  59. 3. From CONTROL PANEL, select DISPLAY
  60. 4. A DISPLAY PROPERTIES dialogue box will appear
  61. 5. Select the SETTINGS tab at the top of the Display Properties 
  62.    dialogue box
  63. 6. Go the COLOR option, and increase the number of colors
  64.

  68. OPTIMIZING PERFORMANCE:
  69.  
  70. On some PC configurations, the speed of the Demo may appear 
  71. slow. To optimize the performance of your PC and increase the 
  72. speed at which these demos run, try these helpful tips.
  73.  
  74. 1.  Turn OFF any virus scanning programs and screen savers that 
  75.     might be running.
  76.  
  77. 2.  Turn OFF ALL applications except for the 'Windows Explorer' 
  78.     (if you are running an alternate desktop, leave only your 
  79.     desktop program running).
  80.  
  81. 3.  Set screen resolution to 640x480 [Refer to your Windows guide 
  82.     on Running the Setup Program or Setting Up Windows]
  83.  
  84. 4.  Set the number of colors to be displayed to 256 (some color 
  85.     cards may require colors to be set at 65,536; 65,535; 64K; or 
  86.     65K, depending on vendor) [Refer to the section above title
  87.     CHANGING YOUR COLOR DEPTH].

  89. If the suggestions above still do not result in satisfactory 
  90. performance, you may have a fragmented disk. Use your Windows 95
  91. Disk Defragmenter to optimize your hard drive.

  96. OPTIMIZE YOUR CD-ROM ACCESS PERFORMANCE

  98. 1. From the "My Computer" desktop icon, select "Control Panel".
  99. 2. Select "System".
  100. 3. Select "Performance".
  101. 4. Select "File System".
  102. 5. Select "CD-ROM".
  103. 6. For optimum CD access times, change the supplemental cache to "Large".
  104. 7. Be certain that the Optimize access pattern is appropriate for your
  105. CD-ROM. This should be no lower than "Double-speed Drives".
  106. 8. If any changes were made, select "Apply", then restart Windows.
