- The "Initial Texture Type" list contains features that have been moved
- from being Easter Eggs to fully accessible features. They provide
- three new ways of "seeding" your texture, in addition to the default
- "random noise" method.
-
- 1) Shapes : A random number of random shapes will be placed on the
- texture. Some are solid, others are transparent.
-
- 2) Noise and Shapes: The texture starts as a combination of random
- noise and random shapes. This can potentially create images like you're
- used to seeing already from the "random noise" types, but with
- recognizable shapes in them.
-
- 3) Image file: You can load any image file and use that as the starting
- point of your texture. This was actually one of the first ideas we
- tried when writing Reptile, but it turns out to be less useful than one
- might think. Most images will just go blurry, but if you choose the
- right settings it can be pretty cool.
-
- These new options are most effective within the first 10 to 20 frames
- of a texture's life. After that they tend to start looking like any
- other texture, regardless of its starting point.

- New Features In v1.1
- =======================
- You can right-click on the number spectrum control points and choose to
- duplicate them or make them copy their color from another control point.
-
- Ctrl-right-click on the "Final Image" texture to copy it to the
- clipboard as a bitmap. This is useful for pasting it directly into
- other programs.
-
- Right click on the floating, expanded texture window to see the original
- bitmap that the texture came from. This doesn't work for "Random Noise"
- textures.
-
- I've included a couple of really big textures in the presets list
- (Huge 1 and Huge 2) just to remind you that Reptile can make BIG
- textures too ! I've made some here that are 4000 pixels wide...very
- nice.
