  18. This game is distributed as shareware. The shareware concept is based
  19. on "trying before you buy." If you like this game you are asked to
  20. please register it. Upon registration you will receive an unlock code
  21. by e-mail within 48 hours* that unlocks the features of the registered
  22. version. There is no need to download a new version or receive a disk
  23. in the mail. That means shipping and handling is free!
  24.  
  25. The shareware version of this game contains the first five levels of
  26. the epic Adventures With Chickens. Registering the game unlocks
  27. twenty-five more action-packed levels for play!
  28.  
  29. Registration is simple, efficient, and fast. Register now using your
  30. modem by running the file "RegNet.exe," register now by calling the

  54. Adventures With Chickens requires DirectX 5.0 drivers. If the game
  55. gives you the error "Missing required DLL file: DDRAW.DLL." Then
  56. you must install DirectX 5.0 drivers. Go to RockSolid Software's
  57. download page and download the version of Chickens that includes
  58. the drivers. (http://www.rocksolidsoftware.com/downloads.html)

  60. Adventures With Chickens may not run on some older computers. If
  61. Chickens does not run on your computer contact RockSolid Software
  62. and describe your problem. Also, the game may not run under Windows
  63. NT 4.0 unless you have the most current service pack.

  66. Quick Instructions
  67. ==================

  69. Catch all chickens in level with your grappling arm by pressing
  70. SPACE bar.
  71.  
  72. To get rid of aliens, honk your horn by pressing the "H" Key, then
  73. while adjacent to the alien, press CONTROL to short-circuit it.
  74.  
  75. When you have caught all the chickens in the level, find the bomb,
  76. press down on it, then run for the exit.
  77.  
  78. Press TAB to see your radar which displays you, chickens, aliens,
  79. asteroids, and the exit.
  80.  
  81. Press SHIFT to make your ship fly in turbo mode.

  103.         complete. A robust DOS version was born February 1996.
