  1. ôAnyFolderö is a shell extension, which allows you to assign any icon
  2. to any file folder in the Windows95/NT shell. You can customize icon 
  3. for open and close state of the each folder of your choice.

  22. the installation set and choose ôInstallö from the context menu.

  44. If you wish to send order and obtain your registration information for
  45. ôAnyFolderö you may run ôRegisterö application, included in the
  46. installation set. 
  47. Make sure to follow instructions in the dialog and it does the entire
  48. job for you. Registration information will be e-mailed to you 
  49. within 1 to 4 days.
  50. To enter your registration information you have to press ôRegisterô
  51. button on ôIconö property page of any folder.

  69. 1.  To manage, extract, edit and create icons you may use some tools, which 
  70. can be found at www.download.com under category Multimedia & Design \Icons.
  71. 2.  To assign different icons to each hard drive in your system you may 
  72. create file Autorun.inf  in the root directory, containing lines:
  73.        [autorun]
  74.        ICON=iconfilename,index
  75. where iconfilename is full path to file, containing icon and index is     
  76. number of image inside this file, usually 0.
  77. 3.  Most of shell icons are located inside Windows\System\Shell32.dll file.

  79. Known problems for this version of ôAnyFolderö.

  82. 1.  You can see small icon of the folder unchanged in the left pane 
  83. of the Windows Explorer the first time you have applied customization
  84. to it. The icon will be correct next time you restart your computer.
  85. 2.  You can see plus tab in the left pane of the Windows Explorer for 
  86. folder that does not actually contain subfolders.  This is due the way 
  87. Windows shell manages extensions and will be fixed in the next version.
  88. 3.  You can see folder icon ôflashesö when the folder closes under 
  89. Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, because its shell is not fully 
  90. compatible with Windows95/NT.
  91. 4.  ôAnyFolderö marks customized folders as read only. Windows 95/NT
  92. requires it to recognize customization.
