  29. -----------
  30. Symbol Selector is a small Windows utility for selecting and copying 
  31. symbols from TrueType fonts that are of the "symbol" variety, such as 
  32. Wingdings and Symbols. Symbol Selector has the same basic concept as 
  33. Character Map (provided with Windows) but it only displays the 
  34. installed symbol fonts on your system. It adds the ability to view 
  35. these fonts at larger sizes (Character Map's font size is just too 
  36. small!), plus you can easily copy individual characters to the 
  37. clipboard in your choice of Rich Text Format (RTF) or in Windows 
  38. Metafile (WMF) format. (Copying the characters in WMF format lets 
  39. you use them in any graphics program that supports WMF graphics.)

  41. Symbol Selector is offered as "freeware." If you find Symbol Selector 
  42. useful, please try our shareware products as well.

  44. To use Symbol Selector, simply run unzip SYMBOLS.EXE into a directory 
  45. of your choice, and run it from within the Windows environment.
