  1. This is a collection of educational maze games, developed by
  2. Hans Zantema, Dijnselweg 146, 3705 ER Zeist, The Netherlands,
  3. email: hansz@cs.ruu.nl.

  5. All of these programs may be freely distributed without limitations.
  6. Comments, or suggestions for extensions are highly appreciated.

  8. The programs run under Windows 3.xx or higher. They are made using 
  9. Visual Basic 3.0, and they need the runtime library 
  10. vbrun300.dll. This is included in this unzipped file package;
  11. if it has already been installed on your system you may remove it
  12. for saving disk space.

  14. One way to start them is by double clicking on the corresponding
  15. .exe file as you will find in File Management.

  17. You can choose from the following five executable files:

  20. MAZEGAME.EXE covers all four games, starting with a menu in which 
  21. you can choose which of the four you want to play.
  22.  
  23. The four separate games are
  24.  
  25. MAZE.EXE  Every time you play this a new maze is designed, in 
  26.           which only one way to the exit exists. Six levels and
  27.           two lay-out styles can be chosen. In particular suitable
  28.           for children below 10 years old.

  30. BLOK.EXE  This game called "Block Maze" consists of 28 intellectual
  31.           puzzles based on mazes with extra obstacles. Definitely
  32.           not only for children.
  33.  
  34. MICE.EXE  The cat has to catch 10 mice in a maze, but the mice 
  35.           are running away. A combination of reaction and a clever
  36.           strategy is required to arrive at a good score. Allows 
  37.           three distinct levels.
  38.  
  39. SNAKE.EXE The snake grows and grows, except when eating an apple.
  40.           Based on an old theme. Can be played in 5 different speeds.
