  1.                          ** WINGS OF THUNDER V1.0 **
  2.  
  3. The year is 2023, and the worlds top scientists (working together to find ways
  4. to make living conditions better for the earth's inhabitants) created a 
  5. unique type of artificial lifeform. They were astounded to find that their
  6. creation has humanlike qualities and is highly intelligent. All of them 
  7. agreed that this new discovery would surely benefit mankind in one way or
  8. another. They decided to call their creation a "Mandroid". However, to fully
  9. understand how this being could help the human race, an experiment had to
  10. be performed. The scientists and top government officials got together and 
  11. worked out a strategy to create 50 Mandroids, place them on a remote part of 
  12. the globe, then return 5 years later to see how they progressed. This top
  13. secret project was called "The Mandroid Experiment"
  14.  
  15.  The year = 2028. The government brass sends out high altitude surviellence 
  16. aircraft to take pictures of the Mandroid area. The following day, the
  17. scientists and officials gathered together to inspect the newly developed
  18. pictures. Anticipation was high and there was chatter all about. Topics of
  19. discussion were  "How did they survive?",  "Were they able to live off the 
  20. land?", "Were they able to develop any new kinds of technologies that man
  21. hasn't thought of yet?". After viewing the first few pictures, everyone in
  22. the room was quiet, motionless, and had a look of shock on their faces. In
  23. total disbelief, it was evident that there were not 50 Mandroids but hundreds,
  24. perhaps thousands. They've discovered how to duplicate themselves!. Even more
  25. frightening was the fact that they have become alarmingly hostile. They've 
  26. learned how to develop primitive weapons, such as tanks and missile launchers!
  27. It's obvious that their intentions is to dominate the world. There have also
  28. been reports that they've been slaughtering innocent women and children in 
  29. their conquest. An emergency is at hand.
  30.  
  31.   At this point in history, the world is at peace. Most of the weapons of 
  32. destruction on the planet have been destroyed. Luckily, stockpiles of bombs 
  33. such as air to ground missiles and rocket launchers have been kept hidden 
  34. away in underground bunkers, but there are no more jets on the planet to
  35. launch them from! Fortunately, a couple of retired air force generals 
  36. were able to scrape up an old A10 Warthog that was barely flyable, but it
  37. could still get off the ground. The plane, they say, was affectionately 
  38. nicknamed "Wings of Thunder" back in it's heyday. Luck is on our side!!
  39.  
  40.  It's time to eliminate the Mandroids. Government agents, posing as traitors,
  41. infiltrated the Mandroid colonies, and in the process installed homing
  42. devices all around the landscape at strategic locations. To locate these
  43. devices, dual homing device detectors have been installed on the aircraft.
  44. Your mission is to tune into the frequencies of these homing devices, pay a
  45. visit to all these important locations, and destroy everything in your path.
  46. A base has been setup close to where the Mandroid activities are. Should you
