  1. Frostys Arctic Hellhole.
  2. Mission Data: Competence level required: Intermediate.
  3.               Mission Type: Covert attack.

  6.               Visibility status: Daylight.

  9. Scenario:
  10. Routine air reconnaissance missions over the arctic have discovered an
  11. enemy oil-field operating just within allied territory. Since it is doubtful 
  12. that control of the oil-field, or a share in its produce, could 
  13. be gained through diplomatic channels, it has been decided to 
  14. launch a covert offensive and take the oil-field by force.
  15.  
  16. Objective:
  17. If enemy forces within response vicinity are alerted to the attack, they 
  18. will no doubt launch a counter offensive which would jeopardize the success
  19. of the mission. As part of the secondary wave of the allied task force, your 
  20. overall objective will be to prevent oil-field guards from radioing for 
  21. assistance. Your drop off point will be a bay on the north west of the 
  22. island.

  27.    The allied attack on the oil-field has begun...
  28.  
  29.    Several enemy skidoos (fast snow vehicles) have been dispatched from 
  30.    the site and are heading toward the radio base situated east of your 
  31.    current position. 
  32.    
  33.    Objective: Destroy enemy skidoos before they reach the radio station. 
  34.    Neutralise radio station to prevent any subsequent enemy attempts to 
  35.    call for assistance.

  37.    Addition: Enemy oil-field guards are armed with rocket launchers.
  38.  
  39.    Number of tanks at your command: One - armed with normal shells, 
  40.    co-axial machine-gun and two guided missiles.

  42. Section B:

  45.    Several enemy tanks have been deployed from an air base on the South 
  46.    East tip of the island and are heading north toward the oil-fields. 
  47.    If they reach their destination, the allied offensive will be 
  48.    compromised.
  49.    
  50.    Objective: Engage and destroy tanks before they reach the oil-fields.

  52.    Number of tanks at your command: Three - Two tanks have landed at your
  53.    initial starting point. They are heavily armed with a full consignment
  54.    of weapon types.

  56. Section C:

  59.    While the air base remains operational, it represents a danger to the 
  60.    allied operation. There may be more enemy tanks ready to be deployed 
  61.    and planes could be landed to drop off troops or vehicles.
  62.    
  63.    Objective: Your tanks are all situated at the wrecked radio mast. Head
  64.    south from this starting point and destroy the air base.
  65.    
  66.    Targets: Tanks, Skidoos and infantry will be patrolling the route to 
  67.    the air base. Use long range weapons to take out heavy artillery from 
  68.    a safe distance.

  72. Section D:

  75.    Allied ships in the area have spotted a Submarine base on the western 
  76.    shore of the island. This base represents another threat to the 
  77.    offensive as subs could radio for assistance or be deployed to attack 
  78.    allied ships. 
  79.    
  80.    Objective: Head north west to the base and destroy it. 
  81.    Caution - Satellite pictures show that the route is heavily defended.
  82.    
  83.    Targets: Tanks - Several squadrons of enemy T-72s are known to be 
  84.             stationed in this part of the island.
  85.             Skidoos.
  86.             Infantry.

  88.    Number of tanks at your command: Three

  90. Section E:

  93.    Air recon has reported that all enemy troops are retreating toward a 
  94.    large building in the centre of the island. The building has been 
  95.    identified as a science research centre.
  96.    
  97.    Objective: Eliminate remaining enemy infantry, but DO NOT destroy
  98.    research centre - it may contain valuable information. Capture 
  99.    scientists for interrogation.
