  5. Preparations for the invasion of Russia were well under way, when Italy's
  6. fiasco in the Balkans caught the Germans attentions. To bail out their 
  7. foolish ally, General Von Kleist's 1st panzer Group was ordered to drive into
  8. Yugoslavia. In an effort to surround the city of Belgrade, the 22nd Panzer
  9. Divsion was ordered to sieze the villages of Nis and Natalinci. As the panzers
  10. rumble towards the villages, the defenders opened up with 75mm cannon fire.
  11. It would be long day for the men of the 22nd Panzer Division.
