The Conservancy owns and manages more than 1,300 preserves throughout the U.S., the largest private system of nature sanctuaries in the world. Since 1951, the Conservancy has protected more than ten million acres of America's most important habitats for native plants and wildlife.
The Conservancy also has Latin American, Caribbean, and Pacific Programs that have helped protect millions of acres outside the United States.
