- Description : Before your squadron could retake the piece of the asteroid,
- Nod managed to ship off five of the fragments, little evidence of the
- existence of the piece were left. We must now recover all pieces off the
- asteroid before Nod can assemble it. Dr. Mobius' work has confirmed that
- the atoms of Tiberium are --highly-- unstable. An isotope of Tiberium-245,
- if bombarded with a single neutron can unleash seven more neutrons towards
- other atoms. A Tiberium power plant would blow up the second it released a
- neutron. Nod, by finding these isotopes can unleash the most destructive
- force known in our galaxy. The piece we're looking for can contain only a
- few isotopes, enough to send the world straight to hell.
- Intelligence: We have been cut off from our base, we have no recon
- availiable at this point. No A-10 will be availiable for the duration of
- this mission.

- west of your drop zone.

- Background: Nod intel has located a sparsely defended infantry training
- base in the outskirts of Vienna. We have decided that you shall destroy the
- center and all installations as GDI has begun training its own flame
- troopers. We cannot allow GDI usage of our once-exclusive fire weapons.
- Once training of the flame troopers is complete, Kane believes GDI will
- begin developing a copy of the Pyragon Flame Tank! Austria is firmly in
- GDI's control, so excercise caution when attacking the base. The enemy has
- set up defensive posts all over the bases in the area and have spent a
- great deal in hastily erected walls. Destroy the base as quickly as you
- can. Your own flame tanks will prove wonderful toys against the enemy
- infantry. Be sure to set the trooper trainees 'alight' in the training pens
- to the northeast. Intelligence has located another, smaller base to the
- west and a fortified main installation to the north. Do not fail,
- Commander!

- Reports have been coming in that Nod has created an impentratable
- stronghold they call THE FORTRESS. This Fortress is in a valley separated
- by two rivers. Nod is planning on using this fortress as their final
- 'launching-point' for world domination.

- We have already sent two other combat units into the area - and both have
- failed. We think that the second combat unit may have joined up with other
- rebel forces in the area - to form their own alliance called YLS. The YLS
- are positioning themselves to take over ... they believe that the GDI and
- Nod are weak due to prolonged fighting.

- BEWARE! The YLS have kept the same GDI uniforms. Remember, you are the only
- authorized GDI in this area! All others, including this YLS must be
- destroyed!

- Your Mission: Carefully penetrate this valley, destroy the Fortress, and
- bring all YLS forces to justice!
- RECON:
- 1) Fortress troops wear silver uniforms.
- 2) Nod heavily patrols the river with their powerful gunboats.
- 3) Make sure your main construction site isn't too close to the river.
- 4) Don't send out small recon units to scout the area - they will surely
- perish!
- 5) Stay away from the FORTRESS until you have built up your unit strength.
- Nod has a new detection device called the "soniac", and will send out
- troops to check any disturbance within ten miles.

- something to do with the game.

- I've inadvertantly added a slight bug as a result (more of an annoyance) :(

- - AirStrikes are affected by the modified A-10's (when using AirStrikes
- they try to land on any available helipads - if unavailable they just land
- near them, then take off again and fly off the screen!), if they do land on
- them they stay there until the helipad is sold/destroyed - you have been
- warned...

- What is Ultimate Command and Conquer?Well it is not easy to say.But the
- reason I created it was because bikes vs. bikes, or in some cases, bikes
- vs. medium tanks started to get really boring really really fast. Ultimate
- Command and Conquer, by those who have played it has been called Command
- and Conquer Extreme, Extreme Command and Conquer, Super C&C, etc. I simply
- call this Ultimate Command and Conquer.It can be used on any C&C map, and
- it is best in MULTI-PLAYER games.What UC&C (what I generally call it) is,
- is a GAME.DAT file with an abundance of modifications to make the game less
- cheesy (i.e. bike wars, and APC/Engineer cheese in the first 5 minutes of
- the game), plus it gives the game an added twist, since both Nod and GDI
- can build the same units.This gives C&C a new diversity. UC&C has been
- tested many times to see what is a fair weapon for a unit, and what is a
- fair price for a unit, so that building a variety of units makes more sense
- as opposed to just building bikes or in the case of GDI just building
- medium tanks.

- two typing mistakes in the GENERAL.MIX-file, done by Westwood, which does
- so that two videos isn't shown.

- This is a 'collection' of all the VIDEO framents from C&C. Any video from
- the game can be accessed by just loading a savegame. After loading the
- savegame all you have to do is use the restate function and press 'VIDEO'.
- None of these savegames are playable!
- The savegames was created from the information provided by Hans Nelisse
- (email: hneel@zeelandnet.nl). Thanks to him!
- During my work on the savegames I had trouble viewing two of the VIDEOs;
- GDILOSE (G: Scorpion breaking through wall) and SIEGE (G: Base under siege
- with enemy aproaching). I later discovered, by looking in the GDI
- general.mix file, that it should be SEIGE and not SIEGE. The GDILOSE video
- doesn't seem to work on my CD. The drive loades for some seconds (black
- screen during), and then stops.
- Included with the savegames are two .INI files which will correct two
- errors in the GDI general.mix file (two videos are not shown because of
- typing- mistakes!). Just copy the .INI files into your C&C directory. These
- two errors was located Hans Nelisse. Thanks again!
- Now go on and watch the videos. You will probably find that you haven't
- seen some of them...

- In each mission description in GENERAL.MIX is a variable called 'Action'
- which tells the computer which cutscene to introduce the mission with after
- the briefing. I usually change this but you can also change the Win/Lose
- custscenes as well.

- To run C&C without the CD simply copy all files from the CD except
- scores.mix and movies.mix to your C:\C&C direcorty (Should be about 22MB
- total with the 1.19p patch installed).To run the game type c&c
- -cd:c:\c&c.There will be no cut scenes but what do you want for 22MB?You
- will need to make separate directories to run bothGDI andNod without the
- cd's.
