  1. BUZZ.mpg - a 60 frame mpeg animation of a bee buzzing around a flower.
  2.            Done with imagine, in trace mode.

  6.  Hi, this is a little animation I used to try out different ways
  7. to make MPEG's from Imagine PC. Note that this is to make XING
  8. compatible MPEG files, since the player for these is so much
  9. better (Check out the player for windows.. it's surprisingly fast,
  10. I think it's called MFWDEMO or something like that. Even lets you
  11. add audio tracks).

  13.  Here's how to do it:
  14.  
  15.     Set your render dimensions to 160X120.
  16.  
  17.     Render the frames to 24 bit TIFF.
  18.  
  19.     Use the program display (archive DISP156F) to convert
  20.     to 24 bit targa. Image alchemy should also work.
  21.  
  22.     Go into the pictures directory and do dir /B > pic.list
  23.   
  24.     Get the program CMPEG, and type "cmpeg -v1 -x i.ctl pic.list anim.mpg"
  25.     (make sure cmpeg and i.ctl are in the same directory).

  27.  And you're done.. your mpeg animation is in anim.mpg
  28.  
  29.   A note: you will notice fringing around moving objects. You can
  30. get rid of this if you render to 256 colours, but the file size
  31. winds up being the same, and your animation is no longer 24 bit.
