- These Levels are Action-packed, so don't look for cool graphics or so....
- While playing... you haven't any time for looking for graphics....
- Note: INI-files should not be greater than 15800 bytes to function alright!!
- So you have to decide, if you want to put in graphical elements or
- AI-programmings...

- DO NOT MODIFY ANY OF THE INCLUDED FILES!!
- I give no guarantees that these files will work properly!
- I've playtested these files for surely over 100 playing-hours, but if you
- have any trouble with them, feel free to mail me!

- COOP 1 is full playtested and should be okay.
- COOP 2 is playtested and should be also okay.
- COOP 3 is not much playtested...

- If you play COOP 3 please email me back with your comments... I even don't
- know really if they works... !!! (my mom has now my second computer!)

- We have beaten the AI at 'COOP 1:...!' after two hours (or so) and with
- together over 1000 (!!!) kills!! - it was really cool!
- We have (nearly) beaten the AI at 'COOP 2' after about two hours and with
- together again over 1000 kills; we couldn't finish him (some structures of
- him still left) because of time-problems (I had to go...)
- 'COOP 3'.... ??? not really tested...

- *2.* Getting started - how to install:
- ======================================
- Now really easy!
- Unzip ACTION15.ZIP to your C&C-Directory.
- Then start CCACTINS.BAT...
- NOTE: Your GAME.DAT-file must be original!! It should be not previous
- patched! (Copy the backup-file back!)
- Make the same on the other computer(s).
- Ready.

- IMPORTANT: The Patch can only be used in MULTIPLAY!!!!
- ========== Don't use it in singleplay!!
- But you also can play with this patch in other multiplay-scenarios!
- (It's really great to have a few A10s to stop the Mammoths or to kill
- a few bikers with only one Bomber (C17)!!)

- *3.* The Patch:
- ===============
- I think, here is the right place to thank the makers of
- CCMAP 2.1: Richard Heesbeen and Jeroen Rithmeijer and of course the
- makers of the best game ever made: COMMAND & CONQUER
- Also I want to thank all the autors of all the manuals for map-making -
- this was really a great help for me!
- (Also thanx to the makers of CCEDT and CCEDIT!)

- new main settings:
- building costs: all reduced to half price
- required power: reduced to about a fourth
- ownership: all vehicles set to Common **
- units: the MCV is not longer available
- buildings: the airfield is no more available **
- the WeaponsFactory is set to Common and has a rocket launcher
- note: in version <=1.4 it had also increased armour!
- This is not longer available!
- aircrafts: A10 (for NOD) and C17 (for GDI) are now available
- The Chinook has now a Machine Gun too

- ** You must build a GUN TURRET (Nod) to build NOD-vehicles and a GUARD TOWER
- (GDI) to build GDI-vehicles. To get access to the new aircrafts you have
- to build a COMMUNICATION CENTER. All vehicles will be build by the Weapons
- Factory.

- NOTE: In the missions you only can build aircrafts for a short time (half an
- hour??) The reason: don't know. sorry. you have any idea?

- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- *4.* ### The Story ###
- ======================
- The War is over. No Losers, no winners. Both sides, the GDI and the Brotherhood
- of NOD had victories and also great disasters... no one really has won the war.
- So the leaders of GDI and Kane (yes it's true) signed the longest treaty ever
- made in history. But both forces were outnumbered, so who should secure the
- new freedom? At this time a new organisation was formed, the SFOGAN.
- That means the Special-Forces-of-GDI-and-NOD. This organisation want to
- secure freedom all over the world - a hopeless job! At the same time, other
- organisations were formed, most of them were 'friendly' but some of them -
- they united to the PIRATE - up to now, nobody outside this organisation knows
- the meaning of this word - wanted to stop the provised government.
- At this time YOU come into game... you are a Commander, are familiar with
- the GDI and/or NOD-technics, have won great battles and are the only hope in
- this world! We count on you - Do not disappoint us!! We will send now two or
- three - let's see - of you commanders into battle...
- COOP 1:
- We have recognized a huge PIRATE-Base on the other side of the river. The river
- is protected by some Neutrals - we do not exactly know their organisation(s),
- but we know, they are really in trouble!!! We think, the PIRATEs will build
- a base on our side. We cannot let them do this! We have to stop them!
- Okay, commanders, this is your job, we count on you!
- Do not attack the Neutrals! But defend our side and if this is possible,
- destroy their base(s)! We do not think, that their bases have a really great
- defense, but we are not exactly sure about that, because we know, this
- organisation has really much money - the question is, from where? - so it
- can be that they will build up their base(s)! Use our advanced aircraft-
- technology with A10s and C17s - although we've found a traitor among us!
- So expect the unexpected! Good luck!
- COOP 2:
- You're back? Great! Good work! You have beaten them! Again, great work!
- Okay, we've found two enemy-bases near a huge tiberium-field, but to have
- access to it, we have to remove the bases from there! We think, this is the
- right job for you! But note, that they were first there, so it's possible
- that they guarded the area around their bases! At this time, they have no
- forces there, so you have time to build up your base and destroy their bases
- until they get reinforcements! Note, this should be a surprise-attack, so
- hurry up! Good luck!
- COOP 3:
- Again, good work! We have now access to tiberium, that means to money! Now we
- can start attacking them at their home-bases! We have only one problem: where
- are they? All what we know is, that there are two more bases in this area,
- which are nearly full operating, but we have heard about another base, which
- shall be build up next. We have no idea, where, but we know, if we destroy
- the two bases here, the PIRATEs will have really trouble! and we hope that
- they won't build up this base later! So we need you again! Destroy the two
- bases and all other enemy-stuff there but be prepared for really hard counter-
- attacks. We expect the PIRATEs won't let us destroy their bases easily...
- We know, that the PIRATEs haven't any aircrafts in this area, so here's the
- right place to show them our superiority! Good luck!

- [5.] GamePlay - The recommened Settings for MultiPlay
- =====================================================
- Change in CONQUER.INI in section [Multiplay] the line
- side=1 (or side=0) to side=3 (to get access to both technologies in MultiPlay)
- and don't change the side in the multiplayer-menu in C&C!!!

- Recommended Settings for all four scenarios:

- So first destroy the enemy-bases and LAST the lonely man in the mountains!

- Sometimes you have to restart six times until this part is alright!!!

- IMPORTANT:
- NOTE: After you break/abort a game, you have to mark the scenario again!!
- After aborting a game it is set to the first scenario!

- Okay, You say, why just takin' GoodGuy or BadGuy - then you need no AI!!
- Okay, but I've tested this, BadGuy worked well, but only NOD-Units were build!
- Then I took Special, ..., and nothing happed, he's just sitting there...
- If I get this ready (if I make it...) I update this scnenario-"pack".
- Up to then, take the 3-player-scens and you haven't restart much... it's okay.

- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- *7.* Notes on COOP 1 - Tips and Tricks
- ======================================
- - For All Missions: Do not take over any enemy-buildings, this can crash the
- program!!! (The computer does not know whether he is NOD or GDI or Special
- or what else...)
- - The AI has a little trouble with some Neutrals in this area, who control
- a river which separate him from you, so you will have some time (about 10min)
- to build up your base - use this time wisely!
- - The computer has no base-defenses at the beginning and the base is not so
- big as you might think... he builds his base up time after time but very
- slowly so you have time to destroy his base. Do not wait until his base is
- full operational! Then you have no chance to come in!!
- Because then he will have a really big super-base with lots of defenses!!
- - Build early as many A10s as you can (like 4-6), and a few Bombers(C17)
- (like 1-2), because of an unknown problem with the patches which let you
- build aircraft only for a short time.
- (You have any idea why or any solutions? - The AI will also build aircrafts.
- Can THIS be the problem? - A restriction in the number of aircrafts?)
- A10s are very well against tanks and good against buildings,
- C17s are very well against grouped infantry and very well against buildings
- but really worst against tanks!
- - New builded aircrafts will be build on the LAST helipad you have built, is
- that pad not free, so the aircraft will come (mostly from the north) to you
- but the AI will then shoot at him!! So keep your last builded helipad free!
- - Build up early a good base defense! - You will need it!
- - Note that the computer sometimes will select only one enemy, that he will
- toast, so this one will have really trouble, but the other one can have a
- sleep.... so, this is COOP, so he should help his friend as many as he can!
- Also he can attack the enemy-base much earlier and much easier!!!
- - Use stealth tanks to detect the enemy construction yards and then use
- nukes and ion cannon both together (each player) to destroy them!
- Or use fighters and bombers to take them out...
- - Watch over his rocket infantry and his recon bikes which will try to destroy
- your aircrafts!! - They really can be a problem!!
- - Take care of your harvesters - the AI will attack them!
- Note this is the critical element in this mission, there is not much tiberium
- here, so, whoever controls the Tiberium, controls the game!
- So try to destroy his harvesters as many as you can!
- Try to control the tiberium fields with any tricks you know!
- - When attacking/discovering the enemy-base be aware of a surprise!!
- - Try to destroy his Adv. Power plants so his Obelisks and Advanced Guard
- Towers won't work anymore (but first destroy his construction yards!!)
- - COOP1:! is too hard?!! There is a trick to beat the AI! Look at his bases at
- the beginning... and remember what I've said what's good to build first...
- ... and make first... -> The AI can be beaten!!! Really!!
- COOP1: should be easy... I have beaten the computer in half an hour without
- a second party on my side!! (About 200 kills) - The same strategy works also
- on COOP1:!. We've tested it! But here this strategy takes a little bit longer
- to work...

- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- [8.] Notes on COOP 2 - Tips and Tricks
- ======================================
- - Same as above and...
- - It takes a little time until the AI is recognizing you, so you can build up
- a good base defense, but be warned, if he has notized you, he will throw
- after you all he has to make beafsteak of you!
- NOTE: This mission isn't as hard as the first one and the AI will throw
- mostly infantry after you... but to take over/destroy the enemy-bases...
- this isn't so EASY as in the first one!!
- - Take the same ideas from COOP 1 to beat him, but here is the problem to find
- the two construction yards...
- Tip: Take out his air-defenses first!! - or you are wondering, where your
- fighters are...!!
- - I hope this level is a little bit more challenging than the first one...
- - In this level the tiberium/your/his harvesters is/are again the critical
- element(s)!
- (read again this note from COOP 1-notes...)

- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- *9.* Notes on COOP 3 - Tips and Tricks
- ======================================
- - same as above and...
- - In this mission there's again a little neutral-base who control a tiberium-
- field... but this is surely NO problem for the AI!!!
- - At the beginning he has two medium-bases which are nearly full functionaly
- operating. Destroy this bases and (most of) the structurs won't be rebuild
- by the AI, but be warned... he will build up a base then in the upper-side
- of the map!! So it is surely a good idea to find his construction-yards
- (note: I've written yardS, there are TWO of them in the mission!!! The second
- he builds up after some time...) and destroy them.... but watch over his
- air-defense-buildings... and -units!!!
- - You have enough time to destroy his bases, it takes a long time to build up
- a base while spending money in infantry and units...
- So also the third base (this will be build time after time) should be no
- problem...
- - You are not allowed to land on the isle in the middle of the map!
- The land is contaminated (oh I hope in the next C&C there will be mine-fields
- or so) so do not land on it!!! (Because this can cause problems to the AI)
- - (this mission is not yet playtested!)

- I have made now four more levels... but all of them don't work...
- The stupid AI!!!! He is so silly!!! =:-[
- Once I've made a level with a few isles... he stood at the other side... and
- did NOTHING! I walked up really NEAR him.. but he didn't recognize me!
- (It's because he wanted to kill my lonely man on the isle!)
- Or another level... I made a level with the AI-base in the middle...
- he only attacked the enemy on the upper side! Bad, really bad....
- And (new:) the old COOP 3-mission... it doesn't work because of too many
- buildings... together it should not exceed 150!
- So to all LEVELMAKERS out there: Make no level with the AI-Base in the middle,
- it won't work... make no level with isles, the AI will only stand around, if
- you put some men on some isles... really uncool!!!
- What works? The AI-Base at the top, you are at the bottom, and no isles!

- Okay, but I think, the three levels now... should work...
