  4.   Sound Card Support
  5.   ==================
  6.   This program supports most popular sound cards and will give you extensive
  7.   music, speech and sound effects.  If you do not yet have a sound card,
  8.   limited support is available via your PC's internal speaker.
  9.  
  10.   It is very easy to setup the Count and Add demo to work with your computer.
  11.   Before running the program for the first time, type  SSETUP  at the DOS
  12.   prompt (usually C:\LANDER\CADEMO>) and then press <Enter>.  SSETUP then
  13.   detects the sound hardware installed in your computer, or you can select
  14.   from a list provided.  Full on-screen instructions are given.

  16.   Sound card notes:
  17.  
  18.     1. Your card may be compatible with more than one of the listed
  19.        cards.  The most powerful compatible card will normally be selected
  20.        automatically.

  22.     2. Should SSETUP fail to identify a suitable card, make your selection
  23.        manually.  If you have one which is not listed, select a
  24.        compatible one.
  25.  
  26.     3. Cards which support both digitized effects and synthesized music
  27.        can sometimes cause a computer to 'slow down' when both features
  28.        are in simultaneous use.  If this is a problem, disable either
  29.        music or speech (see Troubleshooting below).

  31.     4. If you change your sound card (or install one for the first time),
  32.        you must use SSETUP again.

  34.   NB:  Users of the Gravis Ultrasound card must load the Sound Blaster
  35.        emulation utility (SBOS) before running either SSETUP or the Count
  36.        and Add demo.

  41.   Press <TAB> to toggle digital clock between 12 and 24 hour modes.

  44.   Troubleshooting
  45.   ===============
  46.   When the program loads it will try automatically to detect various
  47.   features available on your system.  If the program does not find a
  48.   feature which it requires, it will not run.  On certain systems however,
  49.   the program may not be able to detect a given feature - even although
  50.   it is present.  If the program does not work on your machine, try
  51.   starting it in one of the ways detailed below:

  53.   type  CA /S then press <Enter> to bypass sound card checking
  54.   type  CA /T then press <Enter> to bypass music driver loading
  55.   type  CA /U then press <Enter> to bypass speech driver loading
  56.   type  CA /V then press <Enter> to bypass video display checking
