  10. Tempo-Delay Calculator is a Windows program which allows you to set your 
  11. analog or digital delay or echo unit to be synchronized with the rythmn 
  12. of your music.  You can set it to repeat it's delay on every quarter note 
  13. (every beat), or any of the other note time values in the Note Value box.
  14. Tempo-Delay Calculator helps you to do this by calculating the delay time 
  15. setting in milliseconds to set on your delay unit.

  17. To use the program, enter the tempo of your song into the Tempo box.
  18. The calculated delay setting will appear in the Delay box. The value in the
  19. box will depend on what Note Value radio button is currently set.
  20. You can set one of the radio buttons in the Note Value box to set the delay 
  21. to repeat on the desired note value.  This means that if you have a song with 
  22. a tempo of say, 120 beats per minute, and you want your delay to repeat on 
  23. every eighth note (twice per beat), then you would type 120 into the tempo 
  24. box, and select the "Eighth" radio button to display the correct delay time.
  25. You may also select the radio button first, and then type in the tempo.
  26. Once you have entered a tempo value, you will be able to continue selecting
  27. different note values without affecting the tempo.  This will display the 
  28. corresponding delay times for each note value button that is selected.

  30. To install Tempo-Delay Calculator, copy the file TDC.EXE to any directory and 
  31. use the New Program Item in the Files menu of Program Manager to install the
  32. Tempo-Delay Calculator program and icon into any program group.  For further
  33. information on how to do this, refer to your Windows documentation or online
  34. help.

  36. The Tempo-Delay Calculator program is Shareware.  If you like the program
  37. and find it useful, you are requested to support it by sending a donation of
  38. $5.00.  Your donation will help support the enhancement of the product, as 
  39. well as the development of other useful music applications.  All suggestions, 
  40. comments, criticisms, and modification requests are welcome.

  42. Tempo-Delay Calculator assumes that your song is one quarter note per beat
  43. (i.e. 2/4, 3/4 or 4/4 time, etc.).  It requires that you have the file
  44. VBRUN300.DLL in your windows/system subdirectory.  If you do not already
  45. have this file, it is available on many bulletin boards and online services.
