  26. Just a quick way to play a CD.  This little ditty will play a 
  27. CD start to finish even if you power it down or even if you 
  28. exit Windows.  I got tired of waiting for the major full blown 
  29. home entertainment center programs to load when all I wanted to 
  30. do was play a darn pleasant jazz CD while I worked.  Those huge 
  31. home centers also used up a lot of processor time and played 
  32. only one track unless you left them in memory.  Thus the birth 
  33. of In Dash CD.

  38. Simply run SETUP-CD.EXE or......
  39.  
  40. Put MCI.VBX in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder.  Overwrite any 
  41. previous version of MCI.VBX that you might have, since this one 
  42. has enhanced 3-D colored buttons.

  44. Put THREED.VBX in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder if you have not a 
  45. copy of that VBX there already.

  47. Put VBRUN200.DLL in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder if you have not a 
  48. copy of that DLL there already.

  50. Put INDASHCD.EXE anywhere you'd like and create an icon and 
  51. group for it in Program Manager.

  54. >>>>OPERATION

  56. Run INDASHCD.EXE by choosing RUN from your Program Manager menu 
  57. or double clicking its icon.  Once it comes up, using the window
  58. drag bar, put it where you would like it to come up all the time
  59. (it remembers).  Put a CD in your ROM drive.  Click the "CD"
  60. button once the busy light goes out.  Hit the "PLAY" (>) button.
  61. You can then power down by hitting the POWER button thereby 
  62. reducing the amount of system resources and processor time 
  63. available to other applications (but see REPEAT below).

  66. >>>>EXTRA FEATURES

  68. Clicking the little button in the upper left corner of the 
  69. player (/\) toggles the drag bar on and off.  You can turn it 
  70. off to use less screen space. You must turn it on to move the 
  71. player around the screen.  The player remembers where it was 
  72. when it gets powered down.  It cannot be "stored" off of the 
  73. physical screen, however, so it will never "disappear" from the 
  74. screen even if you change resolution.  If you run 1024x768 and 
  75. stick it down in the lower right corner of the screen and then 
  76. change to 640x480, the player will still appear in the lower 
  77. right corner of the screen when it comes up in that 
  78. resolution.  To minimize the player, click the little button in 
  79. the upper right corner (\/) of the player.  The plain-jane 
  80. buttons next to these two buttons are the REPEAT play toggle 
  81. which will cause your player to repeat the current CD forever 
  82. until you hit the STOP button.  NOTE:  You must MINIMIZE the 
  83. player to REPEAT play.  Power down will cause the player to 
  84. play the CD only once regardless of the settings of the 
  85. repeat buttons.

  90. On occasion, and depending on the CD ROM drive installed in 
  91. your system, now and then you might have to "EJECT" a CD that 
  92. is in the drive then re-insert it to get the player to 
  93. recognize that there is a CD there.

  98. In Dash CD Player keeps its configuration in your WINDOWS 
  99. directory in a filenamed INDASHCD.INI.  If you edit that file, 
  100. you may confuse the program so it won't run properly.
