  1. Wave after Wave 2.0 for Windows is a shareware program to play wave and MIDI
  2. files. Wave after Wave 2.0 requires Windows 3.1 and a sound driver. It's 
  3. written in Turbo Pascal for Windows for anyone who is interested.

  5. 2.0 changes
  6. Wave After Wave now plays MIDI files as easy as wave files, you can even
  7. play CD Audio tracks from your CD-ROM drive.  As in version 1.5 you must
  8. have the proper sound hardware and drivers to play wave, MIDI, and CD Audio.

  10. For best results copy the files in WavAWav.Zip into your Windows
  11. directory, or wherever you keep most of your .WAV files.  Use
  12. the Program Manager FILE|NEW menu command and choose Program Item to 
  13. create an icon for WavAWav.EXE.

  15. I got tired of doing the FILE|OPEN thing, over and over every time I 
  16. downloaded more wave and MIDI files.  Now I have a directory called NewWave
  17. where I put all the new wave files that I've downloaded.  Then I run Wave 
  18. after Wave and press the AUTO PLAY Button that plays all the wave files in 
  19. the selected directory starting at the top or at the currently selected file.
  20. You can play individual wave or MIDI files by pressing the PLAY button or by
  21. double clicking on the file name in the list box.

  23. Wave after Wave 2.0 also supports Windows 3.1's drag and drop features.  
  24. You can drag wave files from the File Manager onto Wave after Wave's 
  25. running icon or window and they will be played.

  27. You may also want to associate the ".WAV" file extension with WavAWav.EXE.
  28. Then when you double click on .WAV or .MID files in the File Manager Wave 
  29. after Wave will automatically play that file.  See your Windows manuals for 
  30. help on associating file extensions or on-line help.

  32. You may distribute this program however you like, as long as you don't 
  33. make any money from it or change it in anyway.  This file MUST accompany
  34. the program file.

  37.         F E A T U R E S  AND  O P T I O N S

  39. Change Directory Button Changes the current directory and fills the list box
  40.             with all wave or MIDI files from the current 
  41.             directory.

  43. Play Button        Plays a single wave or MIDI file, or a CD Audio Track
  44.  
  45. Auto Play Button    Plays wave or MIDI files one after another starting
  46.             at selected file or the top of the list if no file
  47.             is selected.

  49. Stop/Resume Button    Stops playing the current file or track.
  50.             Resumes playing a stopped MIDI file.
  51.  
  52. Delete Button        Deletes the selected wave or MIDI file.

  54. Recorder Button        Brings up your favorite sound recorder with the
  55.             selected wave file, if the recorder supports command
  56.             line file openings.

  58. Show Option        When checked, this option displays the Wave After 
  59.             Wave window when double-clicking on a wave or MIDI 
  60.             file in the File Manager(provided you've associated 
  61.             ".WAV", ".MID", and ".RMI" with Wave After Wave).

  63. Loop Option        When checked, and the Auto Play button is pressed,
  64.             Auto Play will continue to play and start over at 
  65.             the top of the list after playing the last wave 
  66.             or MIDI file in the list.

  68. Choose Recorder        Lets you choose the sound recorder that will be 
  69.             activated when you press the Recorder Button
  70.             described above.

  72. Audio Type Menu        Choose the types of files you want to listen to.
  73.             Wave After Wave 2.0 now plays wave and MIDI files.
  74.             If you have a CD-ROM Drive and the proper sound 
  75.             drivers' you can also play tracks from audio CDs.

  77. Help Contents Menu    Brings up the on-line help system which goes into
  78.             more detail than the above descriptions.
