  18.      Voice Blaster Jr Version 2.2 is a Windows 3.1 application
  19.      which allows you to queue up any combination of audio wave
  20.      (.WAV) and music midi (.MID) files.  Then you can begin
  21.      listening to hundreds of music and audio files while running
  22.      other Windows applications! You can pause, continue, and
  23.      queue up all audio files in multiple drives and directories
  24.      and listen to hours of waveform audio and midi music from
  25.      your computer while you work!  This version even plays wave
  26.      files over the PC speaker.  Complete with Windows Help for
  27.      playing files and instructions for how to register this
  28.      product. Accepts and instantly plays supported sound files
  29.      using Drag Drop from File Manager! Options for playing now
  30.      include:

  32.      Loop mode   - Continuously play selected files until you 
  33.                    stop the playing!

  35.      Random mode - Play selected files at random!

  37.      Autostart   - Option which is used to have the VB Jr program
  38.                    automatically queue up all the files in the

  46.      Please try this program out and see for yourself how easy it
  47.      is to use. Voice Blaster Jr is a shareware program. If you

  50.      manual (see the REGISTER.TXT file, or read the 'REGISTERING'
  51.      section of VB Jr by selecting the 'HELP' button after running
  52.      VB Jr.

  61.      VB Jr 2.2 adds the Autostart, Loop, and Random options, and
  62.      a Repeat option for the registered version which will play 
  63.      a wave file without interruptions continuously.

  65.      Also now saves the last file type used (.wav or .mid), and 
  66.      all the options so that the next time you run VB JR, all 
  67.      the previously selected options will be defaults, this 
  68.      program is intuitive!

  81.      VB Jr version 2.0 was developed to work with the Multimedia
  82.      extensions that are part of Windows 3.1.  The advantages are
  83.      many, including automatic support for any audio card which
  84.      has the Multimedia Drivers.  Since the multimedia standard
  85.      digital waveform file is .WAV, this is the file used for the
  86.      unregistered version of VB Jr 2.0.  The registered version
  87.      will support the .VOC waveform files.

  91.      Version 1.0 of VB Jr was written for Windows 3.0.  This
  92.      version uses a Windows 3.0 DLL called "SNDBLST.DLL" written
  93.      by Creative Labs.  This DLL is not compatible with the
  94.      Windows Multimedia Extensions, and should only be used for
  95.      Windows 3.0.  If you do not wish to upgrade to Window 3.1,
  96.      then register for VB Sr and specify the Windows 3.0 version.
  97.      There has been reported problems with using the "SNDBLST.DLL"
  98.      with the Audio Vision Thunder card.  It is strongly
  99.      recommended you upgrade to Windows 3.1 and use the latest VB
  100.      Programs available today.

  102.                             SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  105.      * 286 or better PC
  106.      * Min of 1 MB Ram
  107.      * Windows 3.1 or Windows with Multimedia Extensions
  108.      * Any Windows supported Monitor
  109.      * Mouse recommended but not required
  110.      * Audio card with digital audio output and/or music output
  111.        capability with Windows Multimedia Drivers installed
  112.      * Will play waveform data through PC speaker with the
  113.        speaker driver installed (available from Microsoft)

  115.      Any sound card that has the Windows multimedia drivers
  116.      installed will work with this program.  Some of these cards
  117.      are the Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro and Basic, Thunder
  118.      Cards, Pro AudioSpectrum Series, and any other cards which
  119.      have Windows multimedia drivers support for music or
  120.      digitized sound.

  122.      Contact the manufacturer of your audio card if you do not
  123.      currently have the Windows multimedia drivers, or if your
  124.      drivers are older than Jan 1992, chances are there are
  125.      updates available via BBS or US mail.

  128.      downloading the latest drivers (BBS numbers for Creative Labs
  129.      and Media Vision are listed in the 'HELP' section of VB Jr)

  157.      VB Jr will run from a floppy drive, but since it is a
  158.      windows application, it is better to install it onto your
  159.      hard drive.
  160.  
  161.      Installation of VB Jr to a hard drive is easy. Here is what
  162.      you do:
  163.  
  164.      1) Make a directory for VB Jr (if desired, recommended!)
  165.      2) Copy all the above files to the new directory,
  166.         (copy BWCC.DLL to Windows directory)
  167.      3) Run Windows 3.1 or Windows with Multimedia
  168.      4) Add VB Jr to a program group or just run it
  169.      
  170.      Here is an example where C:\VBJR is the desired directory
  171.      [PATH] = C:\PCPLUS\DWN ([PATH] is the directory where the VB
  172.      JR files reside). If the files was on the "B:" drive, then
  173.      substitute "B:" where you see [PATH].  [WINDOWS DIRECTORY]
  174.      is directory your Windows programs are installed, typically
  175.      \WINDOWS.

  184.      Since VB Jr is shareware, all the above files must be kept
  185.      together.  Of course, it would be better to use Windows File
  186.      Manager, or any other file copy utility to copy the VB Jr
  187.      files, but the above example was given for clarity.

  189.      If you have received this package from a BBS, then it would
  190.      be better to unzip all the files directly into the new
  191.      directory. Here is an example of unarchiving the files into
  192.      the new directory:

  203.                        RUNNING THE PROGRAM

  206.      Since VB Jr is a Windows application, it must be run from
  207.      Windows. Run the program "VBJR.EXE" to run VB Jr.  After
  208.      running the program, select the "HELP" button to receive on-
  209.      line help for playing files and to receive instructions for
  210.      how the register this product, and additional information
  211.      such as audio card BBS support numbers, and more!
