  3. SOX is a freeware sound file utility to convert various
  4. sound formats to various others.
  5.  
  6. This is my third porting of SOX SOund eXchanger to OS/2 2.0.
  7. This is for OS/2 2.0 *ONLY*.  It will not run under os/2 1.x.
  8.  
  9. This is SOX version 7.0, patchlevel 9.  This version is the first version 
  10. to have optimization turned on.  It results in time saving of about
  11. 20%.  If you have any problems with this version, please contact me
  12. at the address below.  This port should be completely clean.
  13. It knows how to handle many sound file formats, and long (HPFS)
  14. filenames.
  15.  
  16. Notable bug fixes are included for proper handling of .WAV files.
  17. Certain .WAV files would cause previous versions to hang.
  18.  
  19. Also, SOX should no longer have a problem leaving 0 byte
  20. files on the disk if an error is encountered.
  21.
