  7. This file contains a set of .WAV files for use with the FIBS/W 
  8. program.

  10. To enable the sound effects in FIBS/W, run the Windows Control 
  11. Panel and double-click on the Sound tool. Scroll down the Events list
  12. box until you find events of the form "FIBS/W ....". You may 
  13. assign sounds to these events in the same way that sounds are
  14. assigned to standard Windows events. For instructions on how to 
  15. do this, press the "Help" button in the Windows Control Panel 
  16. Sound tool.

  18. Please note that FIBS/W will *not* play sounds on speaker sound drivers
  19. since these drivers cause serious problems with COM port interrupts.

  21. If you experience communications problems while using WAV files with 
  22. FIBS/W, please disable the sounds. Windows communications support
  23. is very sensitive to interrupt activity when running high-speed 
  24. serial connections; the additional overhead of servicing sound
  25. card interrupts may cause communications problems on some machines.

  27. The file FIBSWSFX.ZIP contains a sample set of .WAV files to get you 
  28. started. Unzip thes files, and place them in the Windows directory 
  29. (C:\WINDOWS if this is appropriate for your system).
