  9. Here is my MIDI (Cakewalk 3.0) version, that can be used as a back-up band for
  10. lone or practicing guitarists. The file should be fully GM/GS compatible, at
  11. least it plays perfectly on my Roland SC-55.
  12. The sequence is arranged with the following instruments:
  13.  
  14. Ch. 2 - 3 : Bass Guitar. Two different patches are assigned, to fatten a bit
  15.         the lousy SC-55 samples. One (acoustic) give some body to the 
  16.         sound, while the other (fingered) some dynamic.
  17. Ch. 5     : Cowbell
  18. Ch. 7 - 8 : E. Guitar Rhythm. The channels are panned with a little delay to 
  19.         give some spaciousness. The tracks are velocity encoded. If you
  20.             have some other module or keyboard apart a GS/GM synth, assign a 
  21.         patch to be played for velocity below or equal to 100 and another
  22.         to be played for velocity above 100. The former should be a "muted"
  23.         type of e. guitar, and the latter a normal e. guitar. I use myself
  24.         a Roland U-110, with the e. guitar expansion card.
  25. Ch. 10    : Drums. A "Power" patch is assigned. I'm not totally happy with it,
  26.         and I use myself the U-110 with the Drums expansion card. I route
  27.         the snare thru a keyboard mixer and fatten it with some gated 
  28.         reverb to get better results.
  29. Ch. 13    : Synth (slow synth strings)

  32. The sequence is free, and can be copied to friends, colleagues and even 
  33. enemies ;-).
  34. All I ask is to keep this text file with it and maintain it as a cakewalk file.
