-
- This is a collection of music pieces I have composed lately. There are pieces
- from two ``albums'', Travelling Age (2nd ed.) and Songs of RAMA.
-
- They are all intended to be played on a decent synthesizer (i.e. a Roland synth
- conforming to GS to be precise ;-).
-
- Enjoy!

- CONTENTS:
-
- *** Travelling Age ***
-
- cliche.mid: ``Mon Air du Cliche''
-
- This is supposed to be a joke. I wondered if I could compose a
- ``popish'' tune.
-
- havre.mid: ``Jeg er Havren''
-
- This is an old traditional danish folksong written by Aksel
- Agerby in 1916. In the original version it is merry and silly.
- - Now it is happy go lucky!
-
- help.mid: ``Helping the Sleepless''
-
- I remember I were very tired when I wrote this one.
-
- ksoft.mid: ``Killing Me Softly''
-
- This is a classic pop tune from the disco eighties. The song
- was composed by Charles Fox. I have turned up the tempo and
- rearranget it in a more modern outfit.
-
- stress2.mid: ``Don't Stress Yourself''
-
- Being a student means hard work, and often virtually no sleep -
- It's just a pity most of all this is caused by hacking Linux...
-
- think.mid: ``A Minuts Thought''
-
- Honestly I am really fond of this piece. I like to imagine it
- could have been played by real musicians.
-
- to_you.mid: ``This is for You''
-
- A slow ballad - I have tried to create an intense atmophere
- and yet not make it too sentimental or ``thick''.
-
- twogirls.mid: ``The Two Girls on the Train''
-
- This one popped out of my head while I talked with two
- students on my monthly trip to my parents. They initialy
- thought I were studying architecture or engineering, since
- I had a book labeled: ``Architecture''. Actually it was
- about micro processors ;-)
-
- *** Songs of RAMA ***
-
- The following music pieces are inspired by Arthur C. Clarke and
- Gentry Lee's magnificent RAMA books. Actually the following three
- pieces cover only the first book, but if I have it my way, more
- will follow...
-
- After I had written these songs I discovered they all initially
- starts in F minor which definitely was not intended, but it think
- it is a rather funny coincidence; Rama is in F minor, so be it...
- ;-)
-
- rama1.mid: ``Moment of thruth''
-
- First encounter with RAMA. Mankind struggels to accept the
- fact that ``we are not alone'' nor far from the most
- advanced civilization in the universe.
-
- rama2.mid: ``Intermezzo''
-
- During the exploration of RAMA, Captain Norton reflects for
- a moment about his destiny and his relation to the old sea
- hero Cook. In a way he is in a situation much like Cook,
- exploring unknown territory.
-
- rama3.mid: ``Exploring RAMA''
-
- The first encounter with the Biots. Apart from Jimmy's
- crash with his man powered sky-bike, everything has been
- quite a succes.
