- Choruses from:

- * Handel's Messiah, Part 1 (Christmas) *
- ******************************************
- Transcription by: MuScribe, Inc.
-
-
- This effort is intended to be a 'Living Room Edition' of Messiah,
- Christmas portion, with, of course, the 'Hallelujah'. It is a
- transcription of the accompaniment (piano) part from the G. Schirmer
- vocal score. NO VOCAL PARTS have been transcribed, only the piano
- reduction.
-
- These .MID files are sensitive to dynamics, but not to internal tempo
- changes. If your sequencing software supports imbedded tempo changes,
- you should adjust: N04, (Adagio, last four measures), and put some
- tempo variation on the start of N14, N14a, N15, and N16.
-
- Hoping to reach a general singership, the following selections are
- offered as 'freeware':
-
- N04 - And The Glory
- N07 - And He Shall Purify
- N12 - For Unto Us A Child Is Born
- N14 - There Were Shepherds
- seque -> And Lo, The Angel of The Lord
- seque -> And The Angel Said Unto Them
- seque -> And Suddenly There Was
- seque -> Glory To God
- N21 - His Yoke Is Easy
- N44 - Hallelujah
-
- Messiah, Part One, Complete: (solos, recitatives, choruses, Overture,
- and Pastoral Symphony) is available for $15 from:

-
-
- *** Remember: No Tempo changes are coded in the .MID files!
- This affects Overture, But Who May Abide, Rejoice, and the seques
- into O Thou That Tellest and He Shall Feed His Flock.
- You need to program a bit to make them musical.

- Send any questions or comments to the same address; send your name and
- address to 'register', in case any future transcription projects
- develope.

-
- NOTES:
-
- These are Type 1 MIDI files, as produced by Voyetra Sequencer jr.
-
- They played back succesfully through CakeWalk 4.0E Demo.
-
- Everything is set to patch 01; you will most certainly wish to
- re-orchestrate.
-
- There are no imbedded patch changes.
-
- Relevant to the G. Schirmer vocal score, track assignments are,
- roughly speaking:
-
- track 1 - violin 1
- track 2 - violin 2
- track 3 - viola
- track 4 - cello
- track 5 - if present, double bass.
- last track - Main Volume
-
- 'Hallelujah' has an extra track, the only intentional doubling
- of a vocal part (whole notes at letter E).
-
-
- This transcription was developed on Music Studio (Activision),
- Visual Composer (AdLib), and Sound Blaster Pro (Creative Labs)
- platforms.
-
- Fully edited .ROL and .SNG files are available.
-
