  18.     I need a few beta-testers for a new version of Soundcard State Selector
  19. V2.35. I need a few people with a

  21. SoundBlaster Pro,
  22. SoundBlaster 16,
  23. SoundBlaster AWE32,
  24. Pro Audio Spectrum 16,
  25. Pro Audio Studio 16,
  26. Advanced Gravis Ultrasound Max
  27. Peavy Media Morph
  28. Ensoniq SoundScape

  30. to aid me in debugging my program. 
  31. If you would like to participate in this festive event, please E-mail me.

  33.     To qualify, I need you to write a short discription about yourself,
  34. your computing system, and why you think you would make a good beta-tester.
  35. nothing fancy, just give me an idea of who you are so I can take the better
  36. applicants. I like to deal with small groups to prevent E-mail overload
  37. and confusion. I have found that small beta groups are better than large
  38. beta groups.

  93. Sound Card State Selector v2.2 - SNDSTATE is designed to complement the
  94. software present in many sound card packages.  It is a program that will
  95. either save or restore mixer settings of the following cards:

  97. PAS:   Pro Audio Spectrum-16
  98.        Pro Audio Studio
  99.        Media Vision Fusion 16
  100.        Logitech SoundMan
  101.  
  102. SBPro: Sound Blaster Pro
  103.        Media Vision Deluxe

  105. SB16:  Sound Blaster 16
  106.        Sound Blaster 16 ASP
  107.        Sound Blaster AWE32

  109. GUSMAX: Advanced Gravis Ultrasound Max

  113. SNDSTATE provides a means of restoring and saving the settings of these
  114. sound cards to or from disk. The registered version can restore or save
  115. these settings using batch files without any interaction by the user.  It
  116. also provides a Graphical User Interface, GUI, for modifying most of
  117. mixer and volume settings of these cards.

  122.     Center Left/Right channel lock for all Stereo Mixers
  123.     Fixed misc. bugs
  124.     Mouse Control for PAS16's Filter

  126. The system requirements for SNDSTATE are shown below:

  128.     MS-DOS 3.0 or Higher.
  129.     IBM AT, 286, 386, 486, or other 100% compatibles.
  130.     A Proaudio Spectrum 16, Proaudio Studio, Fusion 16 CD-ROM
  131.        kit, Logitech SoundMan, Sound Blaster Pro, Sound Blaster
  132.        16, or Sound Blaster AWE32. (*)
  133.     Some free disk space.

  135. In addition to these requirements, the SNDSTATE GUI requires a VGA card
  136. capable of 640x480x16.  A mouse is highly recommended when using the
  137. SNDSTATE GUI.

  139. (*) It is presently unknown if SNDSTATE will work consistently with
  140.     other sound boards from other manufacturers.
