  113. I haven't used BIAB, but if it doesn't support patch caching, you must
  114. preload the patches for it.

  126. Actually, it is possible to have more than 1 GUS in a machine.  However,
  127. little software is available that will support such a configuration.
  128. The drivers and utils that the GUS comes with, for example, all assume
  129. you have only 1 GUS installed.

  139. You can demonstrate simultaneous playback and record simply by creating
  140. two instances of a WAVE recording/playback util (such as Gold Wave) and
  141. have one play a WAV while the other records.  The requirements are 
  142.  
  143. 1) you have DMA_A and DMA_B set to two different channels, and
  144. 2) the WAV you're recording must be of the same format (bit resolution,
  145.    mono/stereo, and rate) as the one being played back simultaneously.

  149. It can be quite system intensive.  I don't suggest you do anything else
  150. while performing simultaneous record and playback.
